Game Thread: Knicks vs. Nets- 12-15-07

(AP Photo/Mary Altaffer)

Good evening, everybody. Fresh off a humiliating loss to the Bulls, the Knicks are at it again this evening to face the Nets. I will be watching the whole game and checking up on the thread, so get those comments coming. Those of you that are still voluntarily watching the Knicks, anyway.

Get them lottery picks.

i find myself
wanting the knicks to tank and get a good draft pick.  but i can never bring myself to root for new jersey to beat them.  i fucking hate the nets.
Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!

agreed
Without question. I'm all for tanking, but not when Vince Carter is intimately involved.

spikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
i have a weird feeling that we're gonna win this game. its an unfamiliar feeling and is most likely just a headache

look i want it gone was much as the next guy
but a Fire Isiah chants in a game your up 10 is lame

i actually think
it's necessary. i'm tired of the garden booing when we're down and cheering any little, pathetic run. that's not going to change anything. people need to be dissatisfied no matter what the immediate state of the team.

its not fair
to the players IMO. Zack already things we're unsupportive, and after last night his mind is gonna change. There's fine line between being demanding and mean, and that line was crossed last night.

who cares about being fair to the players?
they are making millions of dollars and there have been at least five times this season when i have seen them quit.

should i give a shit if eddy curry's feelings are hurt?  the knicks gave up two lottery picks (three if you count sweetney because he was drafted in the lottery) for a fat, lazy center that doesn't even try to rebound or play defense.  that's both isiah's fault for thinking curry was worth a shit and curry's fault for being out-of-shape and apathetic.

if there are any players on the knicks i feel sorry for during the "fire isiah" chants, its lee and balkman.  at least they are trying.

i dont care if the "fire isiah" chants come after every play.  the change needs to be made.

my point is this
we wanted these dudes, who are gonna be here for the foreseeable future to give a solid effort every night. They give a solid effort and we chant for IT firing. IT will get canned at some point, the question is what becomes of the Knicks, our ability to draw people to play/coach here. The Garden faithful will likely have many other chances to berate IT. Last night was a chance to watch the team play well and win.

seriously
i mean even when the seconds were ticking down and a win was finally in sight, did any one of us really feel any different about isiah. we have 2 look at the big picture hear not just one game. we want him out of new york regardless of the results. I think it really makes a point that zeke needs 2 b fired. Because it seems like every1 outside of dolan has turned on him and now win or lose we dont care we want him out. although do note if we rattle off like 2-4 more wins this entire paragraph is completly void

by antnyk on Dec 16, 2007 12:23 PM EST reply actions

no
i didn't feel any different about IT. He needs to be fired, eventually he will be, hopefully sooner than later. NY fans have the reputation for being tough, but fair and knowledgeable, the chants were not fair IMO.

12/30/2007 FIRE! ISIAH KNICKS PROTEST GETS A BOOST
KNICKS PROTEST ANNOUNCEMENT

FIRE ISIAH! KNICKS PROTEST & WALKOUT GETS STRONGER!

It is a pleasure to announce that admired and highly influential Norman Siegel, New York City's most successful Civil Rights Attorney has endorsed his support to the FIRE ISIAH! KNICKS PROTEST & WALKOUT on 12/30/2007 at 11:00 AM in front of MSG.

Mr. Siegel was the Director of the New York Civil Rights Union until he decided to run for public office. He currently has his own private practice in NYC. He has written numerous op-ed columns for newspapers such as The Times, Newsday, and The Daily News as well as the Amsterdam News. He is also a Teacher and a Board Member of many foundations.

He was a member of the PINK SLIP RALLY on Weds. 12/19/2007. Mr. Siegel has been a fan for over 40 years and played basketball back in High School. His personal motivation is to get inserted into the Knicks line-up to help the team overall with point guard duties.

Any and all Knick fans who ever complained about this organization, it's leadership or team need to show their support towards this cause.

Don't let the nay Sayers be right when they say, "Knick Fans will never come together and voice their opinions. They don't care that much about their team" I say "They are ALL wrong!

Show your support. Step Up, Be Heard!
