Stephon Marbury is blogging crazy talk.
Steph's most recent post is a doozy.
Now I have a bigger vision for myself.
This will be my 12th season in the league. When my contract is up in two years, I want to go play overseas in Italy and retire over there. Berman has the story in today's Post, but I'd like to explain it further.
During the Olympics, David Stern told us about how big basketball was becoming around the world. He was right. Now I want to make it even bigger for the United States.
For my 14th pro season, I want to go when I can still go hard and give the people what they want. I'm looking at how David Beckham is getting love for coming here. He's 32. I'll be 32 at the end of my Knicks' contract. Imagine if someone told him not to follow his heart to play soccer in the U.S.
Uh-huh. Oh, and in case you forgot, it's still about more than basketball.
Yup. Here's the Berman article Steph was talking about, including the fun tidbit that Marbury once said he wanted to die a Knick. That means he either wants to die in the next two years, or he plans to return from Italy with a curly mustache and a linguini gut, ready to ball with the Knicks again and start selling Starbury One Capris.
Anyway, Steph's blog just gets better and better. In the next episode, Marbury reveals his plans to get a prosthetic leg that doubles as a Pez dispenser! Stay tuned.
Note: Because it's about more than blogging, I'd like to finish my SB Nation career at Bullets Forever. No disrespect to my beloved Knicks, but Prada and Jake know how to party.

lol
This stuff is hilarious. And I'm okay with this, cause then Isiah won't be able to sign him to a new 6 year deal worth $122 million...(cause why not, right?! if allan's worth that much, then surely so is Steph!)

My favorite part
My favorite way to back up a statement is through three complete non-sequiturs, too, although he does always talk about how running in the sand builds up his leg muscles.
But back on topic, I think Steph should play in Italy, but he should wait 3 or 4 years. I can see the Knicks doing things in 3 years, and I can see Steph still being an integral part.
