Sports Guy on Jamal Crawford: "A mortal lock to get traded."

Star-divide

I read this in Bill Simmons' NBA Fantasy Preview.  Here is the link to the article:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/081024

What do you guys think?  I hadn't heard anything about this, even in rumors, but I do realize Simmons can be kinda douchey like that sometimes.  Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.  Should he stay or go?  Who'd want him and what could the Knicks even get in return?  I've always liked Jamal and think he's a decent ballplayer, but after awhile people realize you're just not going to win with certain guys on your team.  I think potential trade partners look at Jamal's career win percentage and want to stay away, or give the Knicks cents on the dollar in a trade at the very least.

He has legit value…somewhere. I think that for some reason everyone sorta preordained Crawford in this offense and meanwhile we don’t whether or not he actually fits.

I like Crawford – as a person. He is a good solider and he seems to truly want to do and say the right things. He seems like a good guy and a great clubhouse player. I just can’t shake the feeling that he would be better off with a bunch of established players; like coming off the bench in Boston or starting alongside Kobe in LA. He just seems like the kind of guy that does his worst when the expectations are the highest. I do wish him the best and would love to see him elevate to his potential and make the all-star team in the NYK Orange-and-Blue….

…..I just don’t see it happening. So yeah, I’d agree with Simmons on this one.

jamal, heart wise,

is my favorite player on the court. Humble, but confident in his ability, ILL crossovers and flashy moves, but the real real stats and percentages have always been no good for him., so for the right offer, i would definitely do it…all the offensively gifted players in running teams have high percentages, and he doesn’t fit that requisite
