Game Thread: Knicks at Sixers- 10-31-08

181_derrick_coleman_medium

Are you ready boys and girls? The Knicks play their first road contest this evening in Philadelphia. Tip is at 7 p.m. on MSG. Look out for Elton Brand and Andre Miller, both of whom caused a heap of problems for the Knicks in the preseason. Also make sure to check out the fresh, new Liberty Ballers for your fill of Philly perspective. Leave your in-game thoughts in the comments. The discussion was great last time, so let's shoot for the same. I'll be here for the duration. Get them W's, Knickerbockers.

this D’Antoni shit is working.

Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!

This'll be interesting.

76ers are a decent team, playoff caliber probably (if a low seed).

I’m hoping that Stephon will get Mardy-like minutes this game and that the first game was just a message and not the norm.

I’m hoping the Knicks can keep finding the open man, and can contest shots better than last game.

I’m also excited :) GO NYK

no dice.

Marbury is done for the foreseeable future. Something about what D’Antoni said, though, made me a little more comfortable with the whole situation.

Well

At least it’s one way or the other. Consistency ftw.

Another League Pass Broadband question...

Sorry about all these – P&T’s help has been greatly appreciated.

Can I watch the NYK broadcasters for a road game, or do I always have to see the home team’s broadcasters?

Thanks!

Ugly

defensive start inside. 76er turnarounds hurt.

has there been a worse two-ossesion stretch in Knicks history?

*shudders*

Thinking of Reggie Miller at the end of a certain game.

touche

R. Miller hits three-pointer
R. Miller shoves G. Anthony in back. R. Miller steals ball.
R. Miller hits three-pointer.

that’s probably the worst two-possesion stretch..

agreed

there’s a fine line between fast-paced and hair-brained

by Seth on Oct 31, 2008 7:49 PM EDT up reply actions

It pisses me off so bad

to see a Knick dribble down the court, do some stutter step, and become Hoisty McNeverpass.

by twincitiesknick on Oct 31, 2008 7:51 PM EDT up reply actions

the defense really isn't that terrible

philly’s just hitting everything. the offense, on the other hand, is super frustrating.

dear Willie Green

stop making every single garbage shot you throw up.

this game's getting a little chippy, no?

although zach’s technical foul didn’t look like anything.

slapped dalembert

looked more friendly than anything though.

I'm fine

with that open three from the corner all night long.

Duhon is playing well

he’s the kind of role player that this team has lacked since the Isiah regime.

Yeah

Whereas I was counting down the Isiah Doomsday Clock all of last year, here I can focus on the upside of Gallinari getting the jibblies out of his system, the offense as a whole taking lumps for not moving the ball around, and Roberson… well, nothing there. But you know what I mean.
