Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

Patrick Ewing Jr.

I was watching the Georgetown - Nova game and the announcers (Billy Packer and Digger Phelps, I think) mentioned that they saw Patrick Ewing Jr. as having NBA talent and any team with a 2nd round pick should take a long look at him.  Phelps views Ewing Jr. as a better version of Renaldo Balkman.

So my question to all you Posters & Toasters is: Do you think anyone will take a chance on him?  The Knicks perhaps?  It'd definitely be a good PR move, but I doubt it'd happen unless Isiah gets canned prior to the draft.  Your thoughts?

He is nice but
I'm a current gtown student so I've seen him play... a lot. I think he might be able to play at the next level based off his D and his energy. That being said, he makes some bone head plays with some regularity from bad passed to fouling jump shooters. I think he might get drafted late 2nd, and he might make a roster. I think its more likely that he plays in the D league or in europe and then in a few hours possibly transitions to the NBA.

Thats my random musing though. I love him as a player. The most heart and energy (and the best 6 man) of any Gtown player I've seen thus far.

I'm think I'm gonna average like 10 points, like 12-13 dimes, like 2.. 3 assists and about 4 -5 rebounds

He'll be a good backup in the NBA
However, I don't see him as anything more as a decent roleplayer and backup. He's NBA ready, but he's nothing more than an underrated second rounder. Would love to see him in the NBA.

they should give him an NBA contract
just so he can participate in the dunk contest.  during midnight madness when he was a freshman at Indiana, he threw down maybe the sickest Isiah Rider/Kobe through-the-legs dunk that i've ever seen.
Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!
