An offer to consider...

I haven't heard of this offer actually being on the table, but our friends at Pickaxe and Roll emailed me wondering if we thought the Knicks would be interested in trading Eddy Curry and the 6th draft pick for Marcus Camby. Camby's contract expires after the 2009-2010 season. My thought was that the re-acquisition of Camby, whose shot-blocking and expiring deal are both nice assets, coupled with the dumping of Eddy Curry, make the deal rather promising. Personally, I'd like to see the Knicks get the Nuggets' 20th pick in return. Your thoughts?

Perhaps...

I like that trade, but I’d rather do ZBo instead of Eddy, or only do that trade if it’s guaranteed that we rid ourselves of Randolph in a seperate trade. if that’s the case, then we should try to get that 20th pick because there is some serious talent at that spot in this draft

have to get

at least a future 1st rounder to pull the trigger on that deal.

there’s no reason to trade out of one of the best Drafts of recent memory just to get Camby back.

Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!

Absolutely Not

I’m with Arichmix. This trade doesn’t get us under the cap in 2010, 20th pick or no 20th pick. Dumping Z-Bo is essential if that plan is to work.

that

would be awesome. camby is a great defensive player and if it works out with him on the knicks, he’s not a bad guy to have around. if it doesn’t, you clear up a ton of cap space. and who would be against getting rid of curry, another guy like randolph, who you really just can’t win a championship with while he’s playing a substantial role.
