Send Randolph to the Clippers

With the loss of Brand and Magette, they need a low-post scorer and have plenty of cap space. Randolph and the Clippers franchise were practically made for each other, especially if Baron Davis gets hurt again.

The Trade Machine doesn't have the new contract info up yet for guys like Davis and the picks so I didn't bother with that, but maybe for Brevin Knight's expiring, or even a bad contract that ends in 2 years (the return of Tim Thomas?).

Clippers are under the cap

Knicks don’t have to match salaries.

I like the fact that the Knicks are trying to get something other than cap relief for this pick. I say they settle for a top-3 protected pick in 09 or 10 and then an unprotected pick thereafter.

I did read that Walsh was posturing by asking for Eric Gordon. It actually makes some sense—I guess I’d give them Randolph and cash for EG and change.
