Nelly/Larry Hughes/David Lee
As a man who appreciates the game of basketball for all its beauty & what it offers how do two players such as larry hughes & david lee with their mediocre stats(davids rpg are decent but one dimensional) & career validate putting their energy into starring in films? Apparently the two are starring in a St. Louis(hometown of both) streetball film (www.streetballersthemovie.com) and Nelly's money is behind it.
Shouldn't NBA teams/owners have a clause in the contract dis-allowing this type of "bling-bling" behavior & "look-at-me" mentality. While the worlds elite are out poundin' for gold you would think these two would be in the gym atleast attempting to justify their ridiculous salaries?
Frustrated Fan Kendall.

Not sure I follow...
I don’t see indication of Lee or Hughes’ involvement of the movie anywhere I look.

i think it's pretty clear, seth

this is the only image on the site, so the black guy is larry hughes and the white guy is david lee.
you know what
at first, i was skeptical of this post, but i’m now beginning to see its reason.
i mean, look at jordan. he starred in space jam, and i think the big “what if” of the 21st century basketball landscape is how many rings he would’ve won had he decided to spend time in the gym instead of putting his energy into starring in films. 13? 18?
and now, kendall shows us that david lee, that slacker asshole with his megabucks 1.8 million dollar salary and his constant “look-at-me” mentality, is starring in this movie, of which there is no evidence of him, nelly, or larry hughes being involved in, and dammit, it just makes me sick to my stomach.
lee
I think this might warrant an entire project of giving Lee his due credit for his turns as famous white characters in movies. Remember his performance as the lead role in Field of Dreams? How about his brilliant turn as Indiana Jones? My personal favorite is Lee’s chilling performance as the title character of American Psycho.

Lee
My favorite Lee performance is actually in his minor role as Kevin McAllister’s asshole older brother in the first 2 Home Alones. A small role, but a breakout one all the same.
