It's not official yet, but all indications are that Marbury will be given word sometime this week that he need not make plans to be in Saratoga Springs next Tuesday. Not that Marbury doesn't already have a sense that he isn't wanted. He'd been hearing enough of it throughout the offseason and it seemed pretty obvious when Chris Duhon was signed that the Knicks planned to move on without him.

ummm
houston is coming back??
i also heard that we’re trying 2 put james on a retirement plan (or translated into his terms. “BIG SNACKS NO PLAY BASKBALL NO MO”
starburys coming to camp. to b honest i wish they never signed duhon. steph is clearly the better choice. i know hes a mess off the court but as a fan who’s had to suffer all this time, ill take the wins over drama anyday. lets face it without steph the knicks are not even spoken about last year ha. and bringing in a backup point guard to solve this? if thats the answer to our prayers doesnt bayless seem a lot better a choice at the moment.
the yanks are elimanated tonight so im practicing my knick rant. still got it

lemme try this
1. they say marbury is GOING to be at training camp now, according to espn…
2. I SAY THATS GOOD.
3. First off, what the fuck is the goal of the season? Get a good lotto pick and have some fun and young players improve their skill and raise their trade value. Point blank.
those 3 things said,
IF marbury returns to the knicks, 1 of 2 things happens:
1. He sucks, is poisonous to the team, all that good stuff, doesnt get much PT, or gets hurt…and we get a better draft pick because of it.
2. He plays up to his mediocre potential of decent on Offense and bad on defense…which is better than duhon, roberson, nate, and any other point guard we have. point blank again. Knicks play better and are more entertaining because of it.
Correct me if i’m wrong, but either one results in a W for knick fans.
If we waive him and he goes to the heat, and “were a better team,” i.e. worse lottery pick…
AND you KNOW whats gonna happen…he’ll be on the same team as Dwyane, MArion, and Beasley, will have a decent year, and the new york “shit on em anyway we can” media will go to town on how he’s having a renaissance contract yr helping the heat make the playoffs, which they will. I know this will happen because on that team he won’t have to do much to be deemed successful.
L for knick fans.
