Game Thread: Knicks vs. Pacers- 1/2/09

00000000433_medium

Welcome to Knicks basketball in 2009, my friends. Your Knicks kick off the New Year at MSG (the same place I was when the ball dropped) against the struggling Indiana Pacers. Alongside the lethal Danny Granger, Indy's got size, including Roy Hibbert and Jeff Foster (a member of the same species as David Lee: Rebounder caucasius). They've also got T.J. Ford, the maddening little rodent that always gives the Knicks problems. With fans and media ready to write them off and a tough slate of games ahead (home against Boston followed by an extended Western road trip), it's in New York's best interest to manufacture a win this evening. This here's your spot for comments throughout the game. I'll be around. Go Knicks.

Check out the excellent Indy Cornrows for all things Pacerific. (Side note: A glance back reminds me how absolutely stacked this team was back in the day. Oh, how I hated them.)

i was thinking about getting one but a) this is a pretty shitty time of year to own a dog, and b) i have to be at work at 5:45 AM.

no, she's great.

its just the barking and the waking up at ungodly hours to clean up shit and take her out into the cold that bug me. it gradually gets better, though.

Funny thing is

There were no calls at all for about 4 gametime minutes. It took about 10 minutes to see a replay of that Lee dunk. Now, it’s a foul-a-palooza.

Not sure you guys got the whole story

"According to the Smoking Gun, when pulled over by the cops the former NBA superstar said:

"You want the truth? I was gonna drive around the corner and get a blow job."

Cooperating with the cop, Barkley also joked “I’ll tattoo your name on my ass” if it would get him out of the DUI charge."
