Chris Duhon to Make Comedy Debut
You wouldn't necessarily think of him as the most likely Knick to do this, but Chris Duhon (among others) is slated to appear on stage at a comedy show next week. Here's the deetz:
WHO: Hosts Scott Rogowsky and Neil Janowitz of NYC’s only sports-comedy variety show, 12 Angry Mascots, welcome Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Knicks point guard Chris Duhon to benefit the CCFA
WHAT: Revis and Duhon headline a night of sports-comedy mirth and mayhem to celebrate 12 months of 12 Angry Mascots. Krystal Gray and her teammates on the Majesty – New York’s Lingerie Football League franchise – will be adding a touch of class with an in studio appearance, and Saturday Night Live contributing writer Mike Drucker is scheduled to perform a set of sports-themed stand-up comedy.
12 Angry Mascots has burst onto the scene in the past year, pumping out some of the best original sports comedy and generating national press with their uncensored athlete interviews. The live show has been written up in Sports Illustrated, USA Today, and The New York Times among countless local newspapers and blogs, and a segment from the show was aired on ESPN’s NFL Live in May.
Past guests on 12 Angry Mascots include pro athletes such as New York Jets’ Kerry Rhodes, Green Bay Packers’ Ryan Grant, New York Giants’ David Diehl and Danny Clark, and New York Rangers’ Christopher Higgins, as well as media personalities Will Leitch (Deadspin.com), Julie Alexandria (Mets Weekly), and Robert Siegel (screenwriter, The Wrestler).
A portion of the proceeds from the door will go to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. The CCFA is the leader in research, education and support services for the nearly 1.5 million Americans suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. (www.ccfa.org)
Comix is Zagat’s top-rated comedy club in New York City, featuring international headlining comedians and established New York-area comics seven nights a week. (www.comixny.com)
Tickets are $10 if reserved online in advance, $15 if purchased day of the show at the door.
Revis and Duhon will be available to media before and after the show. Taping and photography of the show is permitted (no tripods). Address requests for credentials to 12angrymascots@gmail.com.

Nate Robinson was scheduled to participate in one of these over the summer, but had to cancel last second. Let's hope C-Du is as reliable in the real world as he is on court. Oh, and if you're a lady...Chris might just wanna hang out afterwards.

Speaking of comedy
I’d just as soon ignore Marbury, but I laughed for 74 seconds straight when I read today that he said that eating Vaseline was a “a black heritage thing.”
Seth, I’m pretty sure you have a new question to ask at next year’s training camp.
Also, I love how he said “New York City” needs to step in and fix the Knicks. That’ll happen.
I personally will pay anyone $100 who can get a picture of him wearing a DWTDD shirt.
