Game Thread: Knicks vs. Celtics- 10/20/09

Boston Celtics at New York Knicks, Oct 20, 2009 7:30 PM EDT

Good evening, sexy cats. The Knicks are at home this evening for their second to last game of the preseason. I'm likely going to miss a large chunk of this one, so if anybody out there wants to write a recap, I'd be very appreciative. Let me know if you're interested.

Go Knixes.

just to reiterate

comment along throughout the game, and if anyone wants to write a thorough, decently-written recap (as a fanpost, or you can email me) can have their work on the front page.

I gave this some longtime thought

And the most recent I could remember was in the mid-70s when Lucas, Bradley, and DeBusschere played together. There were 3 white guys on the team more recently, I’m sure, but I don’t remember them on the floor at the same time.

There have been others, just mostly not rotation guys. Here’s what I could come up with over the past 25 years, excluding our Current Caucasians:

Pat Cummings
Kiki Vandeweghe
Billy Donovan
Brian Quinnett
Greg Butler
Chris Jent
Chris Dudley
Luc Longley
Travis Knight
Bruno Sundov
Keith Van Horn
Marcej Lampe
Michael Doleac

Most of those guys didn’t even play, much less play together.

Also, no Jews. Suspicious.

Sup man...long time no talk

Defense not looking too hot. I also can’t say I understand any of the lineups we’re using.

duhon has to step it up

if the knicks could somehow just get a penetrating pg it they would be amazing. the key to this system is an aggressive point guard who creates havoc and finds the open man in a beautifully spaced offensive scheme! (like steve nash). duhon doesnt have to be a nash, thats way too much too ask of him even if nash was 40… but hes just gotta at least try to threaten on the offensive end if the knicks want to stand a chance

watching Douglas throughout college, I'd say that is a spot on description of him

yet he looks really uncomfortable out there.

Du is too low key…haven’t you seen his MTV cribs special? You’d think someone would be excited about having 25 rooms all with big screens

i missed most of the game, i know gallinari has 18 points, but how did he ‘look’ out there?

by tz88 on Oct 20, 2009 9:59 PM EDT reply actions

from what i saw

feisty on defense, more aggressive on offense. shot decently and put the ball on the floor for a change.

its good to develop a winning mindset despite playing against the celtic subs.
