Crawford and Hunter Waived
The official NY Knicks Twitter just posted the following:
Donnie Walsh announced today that G Joe Crawford & F Chris Hunter have been waived. The roster now stands at 14 players.
This was bound to happen, but it's a bit of a bummer. As far as I know, Walsh only had to dump one player. I go apeshit for Joe Crawford's game and wasn't opposed to Chris Hunter as a utility big man, so I'm pretty disappointed. These things happen, though. Good luck to Joe and Chris. Marcus Landry, the Wisconsin product and younger brother of Carl, remains the lone undrafted rookie to stick with the team. I expect good things from him.
More later, fellas and females.

SO...
Cuttino Mobley is still on the roster? They must be hoping to trade his contract this season. Best of luck to Crawford and Hunter….. looks like we made a spot for Ewing Jr. hehe
I agree 100%
I was really hoping they would have kept him last year but I think they kept Robeson b/c his contract was guaranteed for 800K…. Something like that. Ewing Jr was fun to watch in preseason last year! We need Ewing in NY!
I love PE Jr.
But the last thing we need is yet another tweener forward who can’t shoot.
Plus he’s apparently recovering from surgery and won’t be ready to play until January.

I read this somewhere
Mobley is not much use in a trade anymore. If they wait until, I think, November to cut him then they get cap relief, or something… anyway, there is some disadvantage to cutting him now.
I like landry better than those 2 anyway
especially since he paid his hotel rates and airfare for camp
thats a good point
You gotta admire a guy who wants to be on your team so much he will pay his own way.
Landry is a perfect end of the bench guy
A mature, hard worker determined to make it in the NBA with an inspiring story who has a decent skill set. He won’t get much use in D’antoni’s short rotations but I think he could contribute if needed.
glad to see landry make the team.
really, really like his game. it’s a shame about crawford and hunter, but whatcha gonna do.
also, with toney and marcus, there’s two dudes on the knicks who i saw play live and in person in college last season.
