try really hard to not bash sports writers because it's impossible to please everyone, but Berman of the Post this morning had an article called "Knicks want more "O" from Gallo." It really made me mad.
In the article, Berman criticizes Gallo for having below 20 points, and for not shooting the ball enough. He completely leaves out all the playmaking and passing Gallo did for his teammates, and basically makes it sound like Gallo is a complete chump on offense.
EXCUSE ME? Isn't this supposed to be a breath of fresh air? I mean, for the longest, all we had on the Knicks were guys with awesome individual talents who would frustrate us with their inability to involve their teammates. We still get frustrated with Harrington, Hughes, and N8 when they put their head down and go one on five. So we finally have a player in Gallo who likes to pass the ball (not because he sucks at shooting), but because he actually realizes that sometimes other guys have a better shot them him, and after ONE PRESEASON GAME Berman starts bashing him in the paper!!!
Shame on you Marc Berman. Red Holzman is embarrassed for you.
