Around SBN: Super Bowl XLVI: Eli Manning And The Meaning Of 'Elite'

I hate to say this but...

this is what will happen.  We have all of these good, lively Iverson debates and it seems Donnie Walsh is doing a good job of 'considering' signing him.  I think they will sign Iverson, but then the bad news sets in.

Our backcourt will be Duhon and Iverson.

And that blows.  I don't understand why the only 'untouchable' on the team seems to be Chris Duhon.  we start horribley, Duhon starts horribley-er.  D'Antoni takes a 4 day break to think about some lineup changes.  He makes a few changes, but he decides to sit Larry Hughes in favor of Toney Douglas... even though Hughes has played well and put up solid numbers across the board.  Duhon plays 35+ minutes.  What in the hell is it gonna take for D'Antoni to cut back Duhon's minutes and help us get into a winning streak?!

I have a growing bad feeling about this.  I just want Duhon to get DuGone

i'll take Iverson over Duhon

That’s how bad Chris is!

I’d prefer that they go with their young guys but if it’s a choice between Duhon and Iverson I choose Iverson.

Duhon

Will do what D’antoni wants him to do – that’s why he wants to play him. Iverson will mostly do what Iverson wants to do. But that would be way better than Duhon doing what D’antoni wants him to do.

I think that moving Duhon for an old couch sitting out on the street is the the move to make here… and Walsh has to make it because I don’t know if D’antoni is going to sit Duhon on his own.

Correct

100% Duhon and D’antoni both know that hes terrible but he will go out there and try that pick and roll with D.Lee 20x a game no matter what. It’s either that or Duhon has evidence on D’antoni’s secret love child or something. Duhon is terrible he has to be blackmailing coach to stay on the team. Learned from Starbury maybe? I personally think he should get the Starbury treatment and just be asked to stay away from the team; he wont be with the team next year regardless so why do we have to play him when he doesn’t give us any better chance to win.
Douglas, Robinson and Hughes should get the bulk of the minutes…no they should get all of the minutes and Chris “Casual Friday” Duhon should sit the couch and watch like everyone else.
