Cavaliers 100, Knicks 91
This is the second Knicks game in a row that I've missed, and should be the last one for a long, long time. Looks like it went pretty much as expected. If you were watching, share your thoughts on the evenings events in the comments. I'll add any good stuff to the body of this post.
In the meantime, check out Fear the Sword's recap, as well as a more Knicks-centric one at TKB.
Bucks tomorrow, y'all.
Update: What's this about Delonte West attacking Toney Douglas? That's not at all ok.

I couldn't watch last night
but I’ve seen every other Cavs game this year. Without Lebron…they are not good. They are not even close to good. They may be worse than us. If you go over to the Fear the Sword recap, every comment is about how there is no way Lebron would leave. Face the music Cavs fans, if you don’t win the champ this year or at least get to the East finals, Bron Bron is gone gone. I don’t think he’s coming here, but he certainly could take any mediocre team thats able to get the right people in the mix to the top.
I’m going to watch the game on DVR and if I find that Delonte so much as touched one hair on Toney’s head, I will personally hire Patrick Chewing to ruin his world.

One positive we can take out of this game, is that the atmosphere was absolutely electric and filled with celebrities. There was a buzz in the stadium that cough/laugh Quicken Loans Arena could never match, and LeBron knew it too. Imagine how hot a Knicks ticket would be with LeBron around? Also, I know we all saw him walk over and talk to Rooster after the game.

Pretty much a typical Knicks game...
looked like crap until about 6 minutes left in the 4th, came back…and the come back wasn’t enough.
I agree with Weasie in that the Cavs aren’t much better than the Knicks when you know who’s on the bench.
As for the coming to NY thing, I think a lot of its gonna depend on how the cock develops (pause) over the season. He really seems like he can be a solid option for SF #22+1, maybe that’s what he was talking to Gallo about at the end of the game.
I really think he knows what NY can do for him, and what he can do for the NBA and NY, cuz this is the best basketball city on earth…yet our pro team stinks.
I mean, if he really wants to be King…what better city than one that’s been searching for so long? ( and no, Avery Johnson….New Jersey makes no sense…might as well stay in Cleveland…)

be fair
our college teams suck too
"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09

funny
when lebron was talking to gallo at the end of the game. i wonder wut they said… i wish it was something likke this:
LBJ: The only I come to your team is if you prove yourself as a player.
Gallo: huh?
LBJ: Thats right. Take more shots, be more aggressive, drive. If the team doesn’t have anyone showing drive and talent, I have no reason to come to NY.
Gallo: So I should shoot more and take over and try to turn this team around.
LBJ: Yep
