Question looms
Never ever thought of this till alan hahn brought it up on his latest knicks fix...

Alan Hahn asks...
Do we go for Iverson? For a Yr?
One unquestionable trait is no matter how bad the team is, he busts his ass on the court trying, and i cant say that about most of our players....

i like it
send jeffries and duhon in a package for ai and another expiring contract. playoffs in the bank!
…no not really, but we would be way better than we are now. id love to see ai and douglas harrassing the other backcourt. with gallo, lee, and hill? righteous.

if they took such a deal obvioulsy it would be a hit
but would people do it if it involved only duhon? no financial benefit for us next year? expiring contract for expiring contract?

If the Knicks can somehow
make the Grizz take back one of their POS’s..like Jeffries or maybe even Eddy Curry, hellz yea get it done.
Or maybe they can just trade them Al Harrington? Seems like 2 equal players, tho AI should be doing what he does cuz he’s 5"11, Harrington is 6"9 and bigger than David Lee…yet he plays like Iverson.

That's a great idea
And while we’re at it trade Duhon to the Lakers for Adam Morrison. They need an upgrade at the backup point and Morrison could be useful in this system. Plus it clears Duhon out.

and besides
his contract runs out. so let’s just let him walk. if we got a chance to dump chumps. let’s do it. but not for guys who take up space.

Morrison's an expiring too.
So there wouldn’t be any cap implications. By the way, there’s no way to make Harrington for Iverson work. Harrington makes too much money. That would be good though, because when people refer to Al and AI (A-lower case L and A-upper case I) I haven’t been able to figure out whether they mean Harrington or Iverson. So it would be poetic if they were traded for each other. But there’s no way to make it happen without the Knicks taking on salary for next year, I think.

will someone please
enlighten me as to HOW Adam Morrison has come into any of these topics? He was a good college player because his height allowed him to shoot over guys. But he doesn’t rebound, defend, shoot well with a hand in his face, shave, or step up in the clutch. Jordan blew it drafting him over an NBA-ready Brandon Roy and he is more than lucky to be on the Lakers bench. Morrison is really not good at all.

yea I dunno...
Morrison’s like a wack version of Gallinari…except the only thing they have in common is that they are tall and white.
Really..I’d rather the Knicks re-up Jared Jeffries than waste time with Morrison.

to be honest thats...
a great idea but hes a cancer the only way i bring him over is if the grizz are willing to take curry and jeffries

the salaries wouldnt match up.
u cant just force feed the grizzlies curry and jeffries. besides the grizzlies signed him this offseason. how retarded would the gm look if he trades iverson after the first two weeks. its not gonna happen for sooo many more reasons tht i dont care to type. drop the useless talk guys

their Memphis....
their GM looks stupid anyway.
They have plenty of cap-room too, so the salary thing on their end doesn’t matter.
Maybe Stern just tells em to “take one for the NBA”?

you CAN force feed the Grizzlies
Iverson signed with them with the understanding that he would start. Why Memphis allowed him to think that, i don’t know. They have too many young guys playing close to Iverson’s position and its no surprise that he is unhappy riding the pine. Their GM already looks retarded for signing him in the first place. I have yet to find any analyst/expert/committed NBA observer who didn’t this move being a waste for everyone involved. Now with Iverson away from the team, I can guarantee Memphis will absolutely look to move him somehow. They may actually take a guy like Jefferies for him too.

Memphis
just signed Iverson so they can’t trade him until December 15. But if the Grizzlies waive him they can pick him up off waivers for the remainder of his salary. Then drop Duhon.
