Knicks Playoff Position: 12/16/09

We are currently hovering around the 8th seed with a whole bunch of other mediocre teams. So I figured it would be helpful to recap our position and let people know what scores they should be keeping an eye on while they watch the knicks, or what games to watch on off nights.

Games To Watch Tonight (12/16):

CHA @ IND (7:00pm) - Root for IND

TOR @ ORL (7:00pm) - Root for ORL

CLE @ PHI (7:00pm) - Root for CLE

DET @ NOH (8:00pm) - Root for NOH

Quickest Path to the 8th Seed:

Thursday

NYK over CHI

Friday

NJN over TOR

MEM over IND

NYK over LAC

OKC over DET

Saturday

UTA over CHA

SAS over IND

Sunday

LAL over DET

NYK over CHA

(4 days)

if this was late March...

this watchdog list would be extremely helpful. But with almost 60 games left before the playoffs start… might it be a bit early to worry about seeding?

thats where youre wrong

the season will LONG over in late march. This is only time of year knicks fans get to think about playoffs, so I’m taking advantage.

Atleast for myself I like to know which teams I should want to lose when I’m looking at scores.

its nice to actually be looking at other scores

and worry about it…

but its just too early to get caught up in it isn’t it?

Only thing we should be worried about is beating the Bobcats and Chicago.

These are the teams the Knicks gotta ‘contend’ with…and they play them twice each this month.

We’re 0-1 in ‘must-wins’.

That was a bad loss, you gotta beat who’s right in front of you…especially when you got it in hand.

Still…ease up at the playoff talk.

The season ain’t halfway over yet. Long way to go.

Feel encouraged that they’re still in it of course….but they’re the Knicks…there’s too much time left on the clock to be thinking too far ahead.

obviously

obviously noone here is planning on the knicks being in the playoffs. I just find myself going to the standings every night to find out which teams I want to lose, so I figured there must be other people that do that also. So I thought I’d help them out.

I understand that it’s december, but it’s been so long since the knicks have been within striking range of the 8th seed in ANY part of the season, I figured I’d take advantage.

dude, you keep on keepin' on.

I think you are bat-shit crazy, since its December, but you do what you gotta do.

I expect a playoff berth from New York this year, and I will refuse to use the excuse “…Well we weren’t expected to be good this year anyways” if we somehow miss the cut.

But you make the lists and tell me who to root against in the other games and I will do it without hesitation. I’ll trust you, you crazy bastard you.

this would be a helpful weekly post

assuming the knicks are still in it after another month or two, which they will be

by Ray Smuckles on Dec 16, 2009 1:22 PM EST reply actions

exactly

that’s what im going for, just a helpful tool to see who to root for

by jayvb on Dec 16, 2009 10:56 PM EST up reply actions

BY THE WAY

every game has gone according to plan tonight. 4/4

I atleast have to keep doing this until it stops working.

you just set yourself up as a superstition.

now you HAVE to keep it up, because we need all the help we can get.
