Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Jameer Nelson went down with a dislocated shoulder last night. If his injury prevents him from making an All-Star appearance could the snubbed David Lee take his spot? Lee's peaking at the right time to be considered, having just earned Eastern Conference player of the week honors. He doesn't need an All-Star berth to win our approval, but it'd still be cool. (Tip of the hat to TKB.)

I sure hope not

Shit would make it impossible to re-sign him at a reasonable price.

I think

in the words of the late, great, ad campaign, they’ve “gotta go to Mo” (Williams). Very similar statistically, similarly successful teams, and similar roles on those teams.

As much fun as it would be to have a Knick in the main event (when was the last time anyway?), amen to D-Lee gettin the snub and keeping the price lower.

Agreed.

Mo Williams is the best choice, and is also a guard.

D-Lee is having a great year. He does it again next year, he’ll make the team then.

Listen to the Disciples of Clyde NBA Podcast. It's sleek and unique. It's rippin' and dippin'. It's weekly and, um, weekly.

does anybody remember

how a few years ago, eddy curry was convinced that he was going to make the all-star team, and all us knicks fans were like “eddy curry got snubbed! this is bullshit!” and then after the all-star break, he came back with a tattoo on his chest that said “bend never break”?

did that really happen? because it seems so unrealistic.

"bruised never broken" i thought

sort of appropriate for much of his career

yeah, you're right.

i just remember that his jersey blocked out most of it, meaning it read “D NEVER B” most of the time. that was the subheader for my blog back in the day.

Would you guys take Lamar Odom

for David Lee?

The Lakers could pick up Steph for your troubles (and drop him), and add Vladimir Radmanovic to make the numbers work.

C’mon, Lamar’s a NY guy! Plus, his contract expires at the end of this year, so you don’t have to keep him if you don’t want him.
