Before the Benton Harbor girls basketball team defeated Livonia Franklin 60-46 in Saturday's Class A state championship game, the Tigers received a phone call from one of the school's most famous alumni - New York Knicks forward Wilson Chandler.
Chandler, who was in Orlando Saturday for a game against the Magic, called the Tigers while they were on the bus en route to the title game. Benton Harbor's game began at noon, so Chandler had to make an early morning call.
"He sounded like he was sleeping," Benton Harbor coach Lou Harvey said.
