Knicks To Call Up Sene?

The omniscient, benevolent Ridiculous Scott has recently informed me that the Knicks are making another call-up. Sene is big, Senegalese, and fairly awkward, which puts him in the company of such storied Knicks as Cheikh Samb. That said, Scott says he's got a little more game than Samb, so we'll see what happens. Courtney Sims and Joe Crawford got a couple minutes in tonight's loss the Pistons (and that's all the recap you'll get of that), so Sene might have a shot to spin a little in these last four games.

YES!

i really like when we make a bunch of callups. especially of tall senegalese dudes. if i had to list my favorite type of nba players, “tall senegalese dude” would probably be like #3 or 4 on my list.

question

who comes off the roster? i assume sims or crawford, but, maybe we’ve reached some type of deal with cat mobley to finally take him off of our roster or something, because i know he announced he was retiring earlier in the year and now he’s just eating up roster space a la eric snow until a few days ago.

According to NBA.com

Your roster only shows 14.

Also, this is confirmed.

uhhh

i’m an idiot. maybe it’s because isiah thomas invariably kept 15 guys with guaranteed contracts on the roster, or because we’ve made thousands of trades this year, but i’ve been completely unable to keep track of how many guys we have under contract this season, as evidenced by the two posts right after mobley retired i did discussing random d-leaguers we could pick up even though we didn’t have a roster spot.

also, if we had that spare roster spot, why didn’t we sign either samb or nichols for the end of the year?

because

we got samb 2.0!

in my opinion

sene should drop the “mouhamed saer” part of his name and just go by “sene.” basically do what nené did on the nuggets. it’s a sure ticket to stardom.
