Just before Curry met with the media, he said D'Antoni told him, "We can't draft you."
"Why?" Curry asked.
"Because Allan Houston said he doesn't want to be the second-best shooter in Knicks history," Curry said D'Antoni told him.

the bro love
is overhwhelming
Posting and Toasting: "Say yo Oak, what's the dish tonight? A couple steaks on the grill and we season it right."
just decided i'm going to write the script for the worlds first romantic comedy about the nba draft
working title: “the best available”
reese witherspoon plays the nba’s first female general manager. she thinks that she can keep her love life separate from her job… until she realizes that she has the opportunity to pick the man of her dreams… will she trade up, or let her one true chance for love pass her by?
p.s. no homo
you should actually do that
and submit it to the rufus on fire bobcats blog short story contest.
none taken.
i'm going to be offended if this project doesn't somehow include nick cannon.
whether he’s the male lead or the disgruntled vet on the team, i need cannon.
also, this should actually happen. other title ideas:
“trading up”
“long, athletic, and must love dogs”
also, the female lead’s dad is chad ford.

i'm offended by how much this rom-com includes nick cannon already
i think “trading up” is pretty awesome. how about “rings and hardwood”?
i see chris ford as the more hollywood dad. maybe jeff van gundy could be nick cannon’s wily agent, willing to play the winning angle, not sure what’s in it for reese.
casting
i think nick cannon would be the team’s brash young franchise player, who, despite his dashing bravado and good looks, manages to represent everything the female lead doesn’t want in a man/player. instead, she goes for a shy, but confident white dude played by some matthew mcconoghey looking motherfuck who has never actually played basketball in his life, and we’d have a body double play him in the scenes where they actually need to show him playing ball
other potential titles: “upside potential”
“the perfect pick”
actually, i think i should go all "he got game" on the male lead

(pause)
wally will play an enigmatic swingman from big state university, because it would be really boring if he was just like from depaul or some shit like that
He's already second best
Hubert Davis was the best shooter. I think he has the second or third best three point percentage ever.
