What Happens if there is no Lebron in 2010?
Even though I believe that Lebron is leaving Cleveland in 2010 why should the Knicks make all there plans for a person who may or may not be on their team. Cleveland could also make additions just like the Knicks to lure Lebron to stay and should we really consider not signing David Lee or Nate Robinson. There is no doubt that this year we have to sign David Lee and I am a fan of Nate Robinson, but what Knicks need in a point guard is someone who is going to be THE floor general. That is why they went after Chris Duhon because that is his skill, just off the bench. If there is no Lebron who do the Knicks go after in 2010 to fill that void? If anyone is thinking Dwayne Wade ....forget it there is NOOO WAYYY DWADE is leaving Miami. If anyone is thinking Amare Stoudemire he is a good fit but the Knicks need a post presence and Amare isn't that he is a pick n roll dunker/mid range shooter, but not a guy who is going to back down a defender and get deep into the post. Don't get me wrong he is a good power forward and I would love to have him on my team, but I do not know if he is the best fit.Chris Bosh to me is the best fit he does all the things the Knicks need he plays defense( who ever thinks he doesn't they need to check his stats plus others stats against him), he is a good post presence, solid mid range shooter, with a 6-10 frame, the only problem is that he is softer than porridge and not forgotten he is skinny like a twig. It may seem like I don't like whats ahead for 2010 but I do, I just think there should be a back up plan. KNICKS draft Stephon Curry or Tyreke Evans (preferably curry), make sure you sign Lee, Make sure that in 2010 that you get Amare he has strength because you can teach him to be a better post presence, AND hope to God that Lebron is in a NEW YORK KNICKS jersey. I just want to hear feedback from others to gain a different outlook or perspective.
P.S. THE KNICKS ARE DA S**T

this old argument again?
i for one, would love to have lebron. but i’m not banking on it as the only way we can have success.
we gotta sign lee and robinson. no question about it.
I don’t see what makes you so sure Dwyane Wade wouldn’t leave Miami. Before this season he said he’d love to play in D’Antoni’s system. I mean, I don’t think that admission guarantees him coming or anything, but, I think it’s far more likely that he (wade) would leave his team than Lebron would leave his. Bron’s from rural Ohio. his family has been established there.
Dwyane wade has been married since he was in college in Wisconsin, there’s more flexibility there. Plus that Heat team, outside of wade and haslem is really young. It feels like the sixers south down there. So winning right now doesn’t seem as high priority to them as it is to cleveland or NY. But I suppose a valid question is how important is it to 3?
And hey, the way the numbers break down, we may not have to choose.
p.s. I love that sammy dalembert is an option. Olowokandi too busy?
i still think Lee is a goner
Nate can be had at a reasonable price. from what we’ve heard about Lee ($8-10M per season?), re-signing him isn’t feasible. there’s no way Donnie would commit that much to him with the summer of 2010 coming up.

thanks for the feedback
to psmjerk the reason I put Dalembert in is because he is not an offensive threat, he is great on defense plus he can run the floor something that the knicks need in a center. Just to let all of u know Lee is staying Donnie Wlash has committed the value of what Lee wants and can offer it to him the problem is nate seems to be the odd man out if lee accepts the 8 million dollar deal then Nate can more than likely stay but if offered ten million i dont see kryptonite in a Knicks uniform. The reason Wade is definately going to stay in Miami is that he has already won plus he is only 25 and their rebuilding stages could probably just take one more year
No need for Dalembert
apparently, Walsh actually wants to get players for reasonable contracts who can play up to their contracts.
Dalembert is a wast of size and athleticism. If the guy came to play everyday he’d be right up there with Dwight Howard in rebounding.
I like the idea of signing Marcin Gortat instead. Will be cheaper, plus Gortat plays hard every game.
I heard about that
I like that moke as well i would much rather Gortat on the knicks as well
How about Channing Frye would NY be interested in picking him up as a big man
He was productive at times for the Blazers and he could be have for real cheap?

If we had Zach Randolph still
yea, Id say a straight up trade would be fine.
