Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

If anything, today was a dry run for next summer, when it'll count. But the Knicks rolled out the Madison Square Garden red carpet for Jason Kidd, who was shown the amazing exhibit for the Garden renovation, presented a Knicks jersey with No. 5 and his name on the back and, of course, the Garden court, GardenVision with videos and his name echoing throughout the World's Most Famous.

If he signs to the MLE it'll hopefully be for just ONE year.

Which isn’t terrible. In Donnie we Trust.

Putting people in the seats and getting people talking about a team that has been balls the last eight years is not pointless.

I don’t want Kidd at all, don’t get me wrong, but they have to make it look like they’re doing something.

Giving him a jersey tho?

who are these people?

wh will see that the knicks got a 36 year-old point guard who’s famously been a miserable douchebag at the Garden and elsewhere and say “honey, let’s get knicks tickets!”. i thought people came to see young, exciting players, not the death rattles of bygone all-stars.

People come to see wins

The rest is commentary.

And I just don’t see Kidd providing enough wins to make his douchebaggery worth it.

WHAT THE FUCK!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4300452

I figured after the Mavs offered 3 years $25 mill, the Knicks were safely off the hook.

Now they are preparing to match at least the 3 years?

HORSESHIT!

I was OK with a 1 year deal if they HAD to get this mutt. But 3 years? WHY!

by FreeBradshaw on Jul 2, 2009 5:02 PM EDT reply actions

Maybe he has takers for both Curry and Jefferies?

Three years is going to be harsh tho.

moving those two would redeem signing Kidd

Aw crap

Hopefully Richard Jefferson is as dumb as he looks.
