Have you Read the Memo
You may remember the Jazz from such hits as "those bastaeds who are gonna steal our top 10 pick next year," but it appears they are in some trouble right now. Boozer and Memet Okur both picked up their options for ext year which leaves the Jaz with virtually no cap space left and would make a Paul Millsap resigning put the well over the Luxary Tax for a team that is a second round exit playoff team at best. See outside of NY teams are not filthy rich and cannot afford to overpay for a sub-par or even a good-but-not-great team. So I think its time to for the Knicks to show them a little love.
The Jazz are going to have to trade one of them, they can't have both of their contracts on the books next year. Boozer is a great player but at 6'8" he just takes up another forward spot barring Hill, Gallo, and Chan from more minutes. He is not spectacular on D and he does not fit D'Antoni's system well. So that leaves Memo. Memo fit our system very well, he can play out on the perimeter he can rebound well and can move. he is good for at least 17 and 7 a night which is more than you can say about most players on the Knicks. So he would make a good target for the Knicks. However the Knicks shouldn't make a trade that would take them out of the race for Rubio to get Memo.
I think that the only way that the Knicks can get this done is via a thre way trade. Remember the Jazz don't want any big contracts and the Knicks can't trade away Wil-Chan or they risk ruining their opportunity at Rubio, who is younger more promising and will be a Knick beyond 2010. the best way this can work out is that the Knicks send Harrington and Larry Hughes to a contending team desparate for some player, that team sends some picks and some smaller contracts over to the Jazz along with cash from the Knicks and Memo suits up in the Garden next year. It may also be possible to squeeze a pick out of one of those 2 teams which would make trading for Rubio that much easier.

What about Jerry?
I’d be more worried about what Jerry Sloan might do to Al Harrington and Larry Hughes. That sounds like ingredients for a situational comedy. Have you even seen their shot selection?

Memho
is a nice player. Kinda reminds me of a non-malignant white Z-Bo actually.
He definitely fits the system. A Center than likes to shoot 3’s? He’d no doubt average 20pts a game with the Knicks if he stayed healthy.
That’s a big IF, Id stay away.
