NY Offseason

Something is happening... No one knows what the hell is happening with MinnesOHta and the muppet Rubio.  Big surprise.  Sounded like NY cares about signing Kidd for pocket change rather than holding onto Lee and Robinson.  But now I dunno.  Memphis, Toronto, Detroit, Portland, Ok City, Orlando all have been reported to want Lee pretty bad with the biggest rumors swirling around Portland, Memphis and Ok City.  now Memphis has Zach, Toronto just signed Turk, Orlando got Vince, Detroit took The-Reincarnation-of-Terry-Cummings, and no word about Portland really. And of course Lee has been saying he wants to stay in NY.

I am worried NY wont match offers for Lee...but why do i get the feeling Lee AND Nate might still stay??  Minnesota wont take Nate if they traded Rubix cube (why should they? Flynn is small already..cant overload your team with a bunch if Muggsys...tho it would be AWESOME).  Personally, I'm only cool with losing David Lee if it means Steve Nash comes to NY... but might we be lucking out so far?

nah man

i agreed up until you said lee for nash. nash is not worth trading for because he could be a free agent this year or next. not worth trading a major piece of our team to get a guy that clearly gravitatees toward us. not to mention he has a lot of pull with phoenix management. so if he wants out, lets get him for free when he makes himself available.

or sign and trade jason kidd for him.

i don’t think any other teams are interested in David Lee or Nate Robinson enough to offer them anything close to the mid-level. Lee is probably looking at a Carl Landry type deal. Nate is probably going to be offered even less.

Carl Landry?

right. Landry is $9 mil over 3 years. Surely the NBAs double-doubles leader and the 3rd best 6th Man in the NBA are more valuable than a guy with only one knee. If NY could keep them at that price or less, it would be a wet dream. Maybe you are sitting too close the the plutonium?

what

NASH!? why the #$#$ would you want steve “washed up” nash coming to the knicks when we are trying to build for the future? he wants to go to a contender at this point, who the hell wants steve nash lol. I hope we just get value for them both because chances are NY wont match any offers, so I say trade Lee and Nate if we can get a lot of value. but NASH!……..dude

Most def

I don’t understand all this old people talk, from Walsh even inquiring about Grant Fuckin Hill or some fans wanting Steve Nash or…I still can’t beleive he even offered 3 years 18 mill for Kidd. That has to be a joke.

What are we doing here? Has missing out on the next JJ Reddick aka Stephen Curry put the 2010 plans out of wack?

Was Steph Curry +____ ….. Supposed to equal chapionship in 2011?

I realyl don’t get it. Why does anyone want Nash? He can still score 15 and get 9 assists, but he still gives up 25 and 10 to Jason Kidd, so maybe that’s why the Knicks are going after Kidd?

If we have to trade Lee and/Or Nate cuz of salary, how about its for a young player who won’t be in a nursing home by 2010?

Don't forget

If we could somehow miraculously drop the contracts of curry and/or jeffries by packaging them with a nate or lee in a sign and trade i wouldn’t doubt it if walsh would pull the trigger…the cap room from losing curry/jeffries and not resigning both nate and lee would mean the knicks could go on an even bigger shopping spree in 2010

Dinosaurs didn't exist because Carl Everett said so. Period.

yea but they would have no team

Willie Chan + gallo + Hill + Ghostface? Even if all step up their game and /or prove themselves to be actual NBA players, you need to have one of Lee or Nate. Those role players…..rebounders who can score around the basket and shoot FT’s (Lee) and 6th men that can light up the scoreboard when _____is on the bench or feels like coasting (Nate) are valuable.

I do agree, I hope Houston gets desperate enough for big men pause. that they trade for Curry and Jeffries.

no pause needed

you are incriminating the opposition. just sayin.

True

but ionno, I was the one to mention it, so I felt it needed a pause. Ill try to pause more wisely in the future.
