David Lee or Nate the Great

David Lee or N8.  Two really good players who have good stock in the free agent market.  If you had to choose one, who would you take and why? I would take Nate the Great, because Lee is kinda weak up against big guys and hes a little undersize.  I think we should get a big center anyway in free agency next year, and that would mean we don't need Lee anyway.  Plus Nate scores a lot, which is always good.   Comment below!

Would NY do this?

Trade Lee and Robinson to Portland for Travis Outlaw and Jerryd Bayless? Assuming Lee could be signed for 8.5 and Robinson for 5.5, then traded, Portland is still under cap, and NY fills two spots, plus leaves them cap friendly for 2010.

I wouldn't want to trade both

Unless the Blazers also take back eithe Curry or Jeffries, that’s the only way that Id want to trade Lee AND Nate.

If Lee can be signed for 8.5 and Nate for 5.5, I think the Knicks should just keep both of them.

yea for those size contracts

i see the knicks keeping both players. last year we had some interest in bayless at the draft. but i don’t see outlaw really fitting in. you’d have to add some draft picks in there for the brass to consider that.

but ultimately thats a step back for us. and i think we’ll take a small step forward rather than a leap. but not backwards.

LISTEN

Nate. OK? I cannot believe how much Nate has gotten dookied on by knicks fans since the season ended. Can any one of you Nate hating motherfuckers see yourselves actually watching any of the games in the second half last year without him? Nate epitomized what it meant to be a Knick last year, he played hard every night, and if we were getting embarassed then he would step it up even more.
This preoccupation with size is well documented in the NBA, and especially Knicks history (Frederic Shitass Weiss instead of Ron I wannabeaknick Artest?) Cant we get passed this fucking size thing? When Nate is on, he controls the flow of the game. I dont give a fuck how tall her is. Jerome James is tall but where the fuck is he?

And finally, I want to be absolutely clear that this is not a knock on D Lee. He is perfect for our squad and deserves money, perhaps more than Nate because D was 3rd in the NBA in a major statistic. But if we lose Nate for nothing I would be surprised and ashamed.

How about both?

Nate>D-Lee, but Nate + D-Lee = good.
