ESPN Insider Article
ESPN just posted an article about the Knicks on their Insider page. I'm not an Insider, so sad I know. If there are any Insider's here could you please recap the article for the rest of us. It seems to be about The 2010 Plan. I'm curious to know where they think the Knicks stand. I'm sure its mostly bad news. The only way it seems it'll work is if the Knicks can somehow convince Eddy Curry to give a shit and play hard so they can trade him.

Nothing much new.
Ford breaks down 3 options for the Knicks; continue trying to clear cap space, lower your sights, or stick to what we’ve got. He makes the case that we’re going to have a real hard time trying to move Curry and Jeffries (which we’ve known), and that we might not have a shot at a major player in the 2010 FA market, so we might look more toward 2011 (Yao, Tony Parker). Otherwise, we could keep our young core and hope it develops. Nothing earth-shattering, I think they just needed to churn something out for quotas.

yao/Parker
forget that just go ahead and try and build thru the draft because both of those two are on the downside of their careers and will be even more so by that time.
?
Tony Parker is a 27-year-old point guard with massive postseason experience and three titles. He has gotten better each year of his career. Downside of his career?
The only knock on him would be injuries. Downside of his career = no.

Somehow I think he'll wind up in a Laker uniform someday.
His wife probably has him deservedly whipped.

true
he could go to hollywood,
but San Antonio is the spot. There’s really no reason to leave there. TP and TD probably stay there for as long as their careers go.
I can just see the Spurs getting lucky again and getting another C to dominate with TP in his prime.

Well...
I was aiming at how parker will be 29-30 by the time the article is talking about, one could assume his injuries will be worse then than they are now. Also he more than likely will have lost a step by that time as well. Don’t underestimate the effect of playing for the spurs, making the playoffs every year, and then playing international ball will have on his career.
I would say similar comments for Yao, does anyone know the status of his latest foot injury?
