Joe Johnson D'Antoni 2010 Reunion?

                      Koc-jan-5-7_medium

How hard do you think the Knicks will go after Joe Johnson in the summer of 2010? Johnson played under Mike D'Antoni for 3 and half seasons in Phoenix averaging 15 points per game before being traded to Atlanta in 2005. I'm sure D'Antoni would love to have him back in his offense. Personally I would really like to see the Knicks go after Johnson next summer. I think that he's one of the most underrated players in the game today. Not only can he take you off the dribble and drive, but he can also step back and fill it up from deep. I know everybody wants to see LeBron or D Wade in the blue and orange but I don't think that Joe Johnson would be a bad acquisition either.

For what they'd pay for him

Id say no.

Only way Id go along with Johnson is if they signed someone else too.

He’s a lot like Rashard Lewis. He will command a max, or close to a max, contract, but he aint the go to guy that contract warrants.

Yeah I agree

They have to sign somebody else too.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Reminds me a lot of Lewis in that respect.

I second that agree...

I like Johnson but he is really a second or third guy.

johnson’s game is a lot nicer than rashard lewis’. Joe Johnson is the guy i’d been thinking of since the beginning. I don’t think wade or bron are gonna leave their team. i think it’s only a matter of time until boozer is traded to the heat, ensuring wade staying put. And lebron is just a tease.

but yeah Johnson would need to be paired with another star. Bosh perhaps? and I don’t buy the talk about us only being able to get one star because of the reduced cap. has dolan ever worried about the cap before?

but most importantly his name is Joe Johnson. Jared Jeffries, Jerome James, why wouldn’t another JJ be in the cards?

because the last 2 JJ's have ruined the team for years

why get involved with another?

He might be better playing with Pringles again, but I still would rather him be a fall back option, before Bosh, but a fallback option.

i used to post about this all the time on my old blog

we also signed jared jordan for like three weeks. i speculated that we would sign jumaine jones, deceased supreme court justice john jay, and jenna jameson.

one of my favorite SoD posts

meanwhile, what if we do what jim james does and change all the ’J’s to ’Y’s? I think Yared Yeffries could stick.
