Kevin Durant
Obviously all the hype has been around the Lebrons and Dwades but i dont think enough is being paid attention to a guy like Durant. Yes he is only a restricted free agent come this year and has said he wants to stay on the thunder but to me, he would be the 3rd guy i would look to getting after the 2 names i mentioned before. his chances of not signing are unlikely but chances r OKC will have another awful year and maybe he will get fed up with dealing with this. not to mention the knicks planned on spending "lebron type money" in 2010, so i think they'd have the financial assets to get it done and enough cash to wave in his face that he may consider playing at the garden.
His star potential is out of this world and he has really progressed every single season that he's played. To be honest i think id prefer him over a Dwade if only cuz id end up losing years off my life watching him drive wrecklessly to the hole every night and getting clobbered. Durant doesnt get hurt, is younger, and chances r would be cheaper possibly setting up to get another allstar in 2010. Idk all this is just a thought what do u guys think

no one is talking about this because
there’s absolutely no chance he leaves OKC. none whatsoever.
but if it was possible, of course we would all want Durant.

yea no doubt...
I mean Id think OKC offers him a MAX deal, cuz he is that dude.
But hey, you never know. Who knows the state of the economy and all that.
Still, restricted is restricted. I can’t see OKC not trading him if its deemed they can’t pony up the cash.

The restricted status means nothing
Because I can’t see OKC not matching that offer sheet under any circumstances. It’s just organizational suicide to let a guy like that walk. The only way that would happen is if they signed LeBron instead, and probably not even then.
not JUST the restricted tag...
but its also that OK City would be able to offer him MORE than any other team. So, yeah, everyone would love him (and they will ask) but Durant is stayin put.
They are building around him and Green and Westbrook, so no reason to let him walk, especially given they are getting better as a team each year.

i havent really followed durant
n the media hasnt really made his name all that popular since the draft.
how was he doing as a player and i mean not just individual i mean as a team player.
pros n cons wud be loved.
all you need to know.
He’s that dude.
Plays on a very young team, but him, Westbrook, Jeff Green and now James Harden are gonna be a hell young team.
He’s the star of that bunch and has gotten a lot better in every month he’s played.
But the team kinda still sucks. Not for lack of talent, but for lack of experience.
What the f$%k is the internet?
so would you say durant is really going to make a lasting impact?
i mean we hear it all the time but not everyone ends ups like lebron or dwade.
i seriously dont think greg oden is tht gud.
and durant idk.
same thing for micheal beasley and derick rose.
idk. it seems like all these number one picks r from weak drafts
well you'd be wrong.
Oden, yea, seems like a bust cuz he’s injured a lot, even for a 50 year old man.
Beasley too, but that’s cuz he’s a pot-head, even by NBA standards.
Rose is going to be the next great player for the Bulls. Is he Michael part 2? No one will, but he’s got the talent to speculate on IF he can.
Durant? Lasting impact? I don’t even think he can drink legally yet or at least is just doing so. He’s got a long way to go, but from the looks he can score with the best in the NBA.
He’s legit. Its the whole rest of the team that matters too.

yea exactly
im started to lose faith in sports broadcasting. they hype up some players sooo much just to sell a paper. u could say tht the hype is just added pressure
