Box Score Observations
Once again I didn't see any of the game - not sure if I should be grateful for that or not. But reading the box score, there were a few noteworthy things:
1. Wilson Chandler appears to have had a poor game. Missed 8 of 12 shot attempts, only 4 rebounds and 5 turnovers. Looks like other teams are stepping it up on him. Can he respond?
2. Duhon and Larry Hughes combined were 0-7, with 4 assists and 4 turnovers. Ouch. They need another option at PG when Duhon is awful like this, which seems to be about half the time. Obviously Larry Hughes, with his poor shooting and poor attitude, is not the answer. I heard they had Jeffries running the point for a bit last night too. I think we must see more of Toney.
3. 20 offensive rebounds is just too much to give up.
4. The Knicks shot decently from three point range, but only 25-64 from two point range. That's awful. Aside from Lee (9-19) and Gallo (8-16 overall, 5-10 from two) the Knicks shot 11-35 from two. Or 8-30 if you take out Hill's 3-5
5. Speaking of Hill, he once again hit more shots than he missed, and picked up 3 rebounds in 12 minutes of action. Not amazing, but respectable rebounding per minute. Also, zero turnovers and only 2 fouls. And a blocked shot. We did not see Legs tonight and I think we might see more of Hill.
6. N8 hit all of his 3 point attempts. That's good. But he went 1-7 from two point range. That's bad. He did have 5 assists though. And 2 turnovers. And two steals.
Just looking at the stats, this looks correctable. Even with Wilson's not so good night, they could have taken this game simply by playing Toney instead of Hughes, probably. Also, I think they won't shoot that badly from two point range all that often. They need to prevent those offensive rebounds and I think that will improve by reminding Chandler and Gallo to crash the boards and/or playing Hill more.

i know a lot of that had to do with people actually making their shots, but its worth noting
