Yeah
Not surprised, being as how he’s probably scared of being yanked from the rotation again. I know it’s not D’antoni’s strong point, but he’s got to be thrown to the wolves to take his lumps. Maybe next game, since they actually ARE playing the wolves.
Is this worse then that Celtics vs. Knicks game?
and I’ve been saying it since he popped off…Hughes is a Fckin cancer.
They need to dead this shit and be rid of him…..
You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there

you wonder...
what would it take to get Duhon out of the lineup? Im not blaming a 50 pt loss on him, but he sure as shit isn’t bringing anything to each game. At least Jefferies commits to lockin down on D to make up for his lack of offense…

it would take a religious awakening.
mike breen (nba apologist and david stern blow job queen) said it best. not an exact quote. but don’thon made a jumper. his firdt in the last 19 attempts or something. and this asshole basicaly said that its ridiculous how many shots duhon has missed and one must wonder when he will get benched. but in the same breath he said the offense runs best through duhon.
excuse me? this guy is not a threat to make a wide open layup. makes lazy passes. is shooting 19%. does not push the tempo or attack the opposing pg. takes heat check threes when he hasn’t made a shot all game. and all the while looks like he doesn’t fuckin care about winning.
duhon is the worst starting pg in the nba bar none.

what happened to the suicidal, vomiting man?
i think that’s more fitting…
from the ap
“Barea had at least two hardly contested layups in the third quarter as the Knicks appeared to simply stop trying. It was an embarrassing effort lowlighted when Jared Jeffries(notes) botched a layup on the break and the ball was batted off his head out of bounds on the rebound.”
“"We’re a better team than this," said Jeffries, who had 14 points to lead the team in scoring for the first time in his four seasons in New York. "We’ve got to come out, give effort and have a little fight. We just didn’t have it."”
Knicks starting point guard Chris Duhon came in 4 of 33 from the field the previous six games, then missed his first four attempts.
did that really happen?
In a period of 3 weeks we went from winning by the seasons biggest margin to losing by it?
props to meandterry- you must have shined your crystal ball well last night….
The Lakers Took The Fight Out of the Knicks
After playing the Lakers straight up for 3 1/2 quarters, the Knicks looked up and saw themselves for what they really are. A mediocre team, at best. So, when the Mavs started to hit 3s, the team just gave up, especially in the 2nd half. Unless Mike D can muster up some pride in his players, I think we are headed for a disastrous 2nd half. The Bulls are going to make the playoffs and we are not. One more thing—-we are a different team without Nate. If he had been playing, even though they were draining 3s, his energy would have kept the Knicks in it. We might have lost, sure, but not the way we did. We have to get him back, and quick. Knate Is the Knicks’ Katalyst.
"It's a cookbook!"---The Twilight Zone
Maybe so but...
This is suppose to be a professional basketball team. They just gave up like my G-Men did their last two games of the season. IT’S A DISGRACE!!!
Will some team please be dumb enough to take our $hitty players away from us? Pretty pleeeeaaassseee!
I was there. Had great seats.
It was awful.

I can´t count how many times Duhon made his move into the paint last night, stopped right below the free throw line like a deer looking into the headlights, picked up his dribble and passed the ball out awkwardly to the perimeter. This just left me shaking my head…..why doesn´t he continue with his dribble. Never pick up your dribble, that´s PG play 101
Time to bring in Robinson (or Hughes?) as our starting PGs for a couple of games, play TD some more and let Duhon ride the bench a bit. maybe that gets his cometitive juices flowing again
couldn't agree more.
duhon has been playing this poorly since this time last year. i just don’t understand why coach d loves him so much.
but larry hughes is not an option.

A point guard
should first and foremost be a guy that never loses his fight and confidence and positivity no matter what the score, and can impose that fight on the rest of the team. Though Duhon has some point guard type of skill, his tendency to get into awful shooting funks just undermines his ability to be an effective leader out there.
They don’t really have another guard with classic point guard skills on the squad – and I think that’s the only reason Du’s still out there. But now that D’antoni has figured out how to involved Lee more in the playmaking, I think Duhon’s benching becomes much closer to reality. His minutes are already down, and we hadn’t seen that before. When Nate comes back from the hammy, we might finally see the Nate/DWTDD rotation at the 1.
I think you just said it ove the course of your posts
Hughes isn’t an upgrade, Nate isnt a pg, and TD aint ready yet. Duhon sucks, but there’s nobody else.
I’m sure there’s been times, like after Duhon airballs a 3, where D’Antoni loses it, turns to the bench, looks up and down and then just says “fuck it” and leaves him in.

Gone next yeart
These are the Knicks who will certainly be gone next year: Harrington, Duhon, Hughes, and Bender. Jeffries and Curry are 50-50 to go as expiring contracts. Nate will not be re-signed unless he makes a dramatic turn-around. That leaves Gallo, Chandler and Lee. Three-fifths does not a team make.
