Danilo Gallinari is an All-Star of sorts.
From Marc Berman of the Post:
Danilo Gallinari is headed to Dallas next month. The NBA made its announcements this morning on the Rookie-Sophomore Team and Gallinari got the nod.
It's an achievement considering his injury-ravaged rookie year. Now he leads the league in 3-point goals but does more than that. He's become a force driving to the basket, drawing fouls, playing some physical defense. Now the NBA likely will invite him to compete in the 3-point shooting contest. What's more, Gallinari will be an assistant to Nate Robinson in the dunk competition.
Rookies vs. Sophomores...Dunk Contest...possibly the 3-Point Shootout...we'll be seeing a lot of Cock this All-Star Weekend.

in a perfect world...
…it would be a whole mock game scenario where gallo shoots a turnaround three and nate subsequently catches the near-miss, and dunks it on eddy curry who plays fake defense by hopelessly standing under the basket with his arms up in confusion.
on second thought, we need to get this idea to nate!
GALLO
it will be great to see what Nate and Gallo can do in the dunk contest

to Danilo. Really hope he gets into the 3 point shooting competition. Since he doesn’t really shoot a jumpshot, he’d have a decent chance in winning it.

Damnit, Seth...
When there’s a Cock joke to be had, you always beat me to it right at the end of your posts.
We are gonna shock them with 5,000 mega watts of raw ROO POWER.
Do you realize what you've just said man?!

Good for Gallo...
Good reason to watch the AS festivities. I wonder if Nate’s still in the Dunk contest?
As long as the Cock gets exposed to the masses, should be a fun weekend.
You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there
Niceeeee
A reason to watch All-Star Weekend. :)
2 Knickerbockers to participate.
Knicks Record:
17-26
they just replayed the 2001 All-Star game on NBA TV yesterday
It was a classic game with the East coming from 21 points down to win 111-110 over the west. Iverson was the MVP with 25 pts. But the reason i post this was the reminder that we had Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell playing. And later in the game, Houston dropped an absolutely gorgeous dribble-fake-step-back jumper right in Kevin garnett’s mug.
Check the roster for a little reminder and a shiver (some of the picks were awful)
East: Iverson (PHI), McGrady (ORL), V. Carter(TOR), G. Hill (ORL), Mourning (MIA)
Bench: R. Allen (MIL), Antonio Davis (TOR), A. Houston (NY), A. Mason (MIA), Mutumbo (ATL), Ratliff (PHI), G. Robinson (MIL), Sprewell (NY), Stackhouse (PHI), Marbury (NJ!)
West: Kidd (PHO), Kobe (LAL), Webber (SAC), Duncan (SAS), Shaq (LAL)
Bench: Divac (SAC), Finley (DAL), Garnett (MIN), K. Malone (UTA), McDyess (DEN), Payton (SEA), D. Robinson (SAS), R. Wallace (POR).
Wow, the West was friggin’ STACKED!! Interesting notes though: 7 1st time all-stars, 8 2nd time all-stars. It was a great game to watch, man!
Nowadays, I can’t imagine more than 2 or 3 guys playing in their first all-star game. We are getting to the point talent-wise, where I wouldn’t be surprised to see identical All-Star teams for consecutive years coming.
