Timofey Mozgov is expected to start Wednesday against the Boston Celtics at MSG, a move that could be permanent depending on how the rookie center performs for the remainder of the preseason.

The challenge for Russian is staying out of foul trouble, which will not be easy against O'Neal. Mozgov is a skilled big man but he is also a human foul machine. Against Minnesota last week, he fouled out in 15 minutes.

Sounds like Ronny Turiaf is going to be serving his first stint riding pine on Wednesday's preseason game against the Boston Celtics. Mozgov starting is delightful news, we get to see the big guy run with the 1's and hopefully he can stay out of foul trouble. Mozzie starting may not be such a bad thing for everyone who doubts. Turiaf role is a defensive backup that brings intensity off the bench. If Mozgov can impress well enough to win the starting role come opening night, Turiaf can relax and fall back into the role he is most common with. Mozgov has shown that he has tons of potential, during the World Championships he handled opposing big men impressively but he's never faced a man as big and the Big Diesel Shaquille O'Neal. This will be quite the test for Timmy; hopefully he'll use his quickness and aggressiveness to his advantage. Shaq is huge but can be worn down. This makes Wednesday's game even more exciting.
