DAVID LEE!
After two games all Warriors fans can say is, What were the Knicks thinking? David Lee is better than advertised. He is skilled, a great rebounder, and even more important a leader and a great teammate. On another note I think we all have a clear vision of what ARandolph is.. So much potential, but will never be anything more than a frustrating often injured rotation player. David Lee? He is clearly a stud!

Meh, doesn't really matter.
Although I think it’s too early to judge Randolph on what he’ll become, even if your right we still got the better deal. The real question is, “What were they thinking!?” Lee could have walked for nothing, instead we got 3 players and 2 second round draft picks for him. Seems like we constantly have to say that. Whether Lee becomes a superstar or Randolph busts it doesn’t matter because we exchanged a player we wasn’t going to extend for much more value. We won that deal no matter what.

The Knicks were thinking
A) Amar’e is a better player
B) The 2 of them would be too much money tied together
c) They wanted to get something for Lee
And…
A) Through 2 games (and many more, I’ve seem plenty of both players) they’re absolutely correct
B) The Knicks have bigger plans then Amar’e + David Lee. Amar’e+ Carmelo fits better…and of course Carmelo is a better player
C) And they got something. Randolph is injured, so the jury’s out. Azuibuke too. BUt Ronny Turiaf already is looking like a steal even if he’s just doing what he’s always done. He’s a solid role player who I’m happy to have on the squad.
Be happy you got Lee. He’s a very good player at what he does. But don’t come on here and brag that the Knicks have no idea what they were doing. We’re all very happy with what he did here, but through 2 games you can be god damn sure that no one really misses him.
Lot better team we have in NY now.

I think
if u examine the trade alone then the warriors got the better end of the trade but with the other moves we made I think the trade was perfect for both teams.
Even after watching STAT as a Knick I don’t feel he is better enough in skill to command the money we’re giving him but he has tons of intangibles that he brings with him that David never had and justifies his price tag.
still…if there were some way to afford it I would have loved to see Lee and STAT play together, I think it could have worked.

u understand we pretty much had to trade him..
amare > lee. trust me i love lee but it was a good move. the fact that we got something from an UFA was great. we could have let him leave for nothing, but instead we got bookie, turiaf, and AR from it..
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
First of all
David Lee got scorched for 36 points and 16 rebounds by Luis Scola. If Warriors fans haven’t learned, they will soon—David Lee takes half the game off. His defense makes Amar’e look like Bill Russel.
More importantly, there is a huge difference between “great teammate” and “leader.” David Lee is unquestionably a very good player and great locker room presence, but he is in no way a leader. Knicks fans who suffered through miserable seasons in which the Knicks went nowhere with Lee as their centerpiece can tell you this. A leader is more than the sum of his skills, he takes responsibility for the performance of his team and refuses to settle for mediocrity. Maybe Lee is going to grow as a person and player and attain that status in Golden State, but so far in his career… no so much.
Third, LMAO at “we all have a clear vision of what ARandolph is.” Really? After precisely zero regular season games as a Knick…? Whatever you say man.
