Anthony Randolph could return soon.
Marc Berman of the NY Post reports that Anthony Randolph's sprained ankle is healing ahead of schedule and that we might see him sooner than expected:
I'm very curious to see how much burn Randolph gets from the outset. The Knicks' rotation is jam-packed, but with Roger Mason Jr. falling out of favor and Danilo Gallinari struggling, there might be some surplus minutes. Randolph would be a nice, athletic addition to the second unit. Anybody care to predict how much (if any) we'll see of Anthony on Tuesday?
Berman also mentions that Eddy Curry has been cleared to practice as well. I have no idea what will come of that.

We could have definitely used him against Portland.
Gallinari amounted for only 4 points shooting 2 for 12 I believe. No rebounds, no steals, no blocks, no nothing. If Randolph could have got the minutes Gallo lost after being benched a certain rebound, block or additional points could have turned the tide in that game for sure. As for Randolph, I wouldn’t rush him at all. Especially in a game we have little chances of winning. I’d sit him for now and see if he’s ready to go against Chicago on TNT.

We have a chance against Orlando
frustrating Dwight and/or getting him in foul trouble gives us a chance.
We have Timo and Turiaf (6 fouls each) and AR is another 6…
Don't rush the recovery
Give the kid enough time to rest, I’d hate to see his career ruined because we wanted an athletic 4 in the 2nd unit against a team we’re probably going to lose against anyway. Call that pesimistic, but I’d play Randolph against Chicago at the earliest.
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.

Chandy has looked superb as the backup PF
Randolph a backup up SF/C (though Turiaf has played well)? Felton, TD, AR, Chandler, Amare to close out games?
That’s a plus for AR and Chandler’s versaitility though: if D’antoni wants to give them minutes, they’ll get them somewhere.
And yeah, I’d keep him out of significant minutes until Chicago at the earliest. I think we can beat Orlando if we’re all clicking, but it’s a long shot, and a hobbled AR doesn’t change that much.

i like this
He has watched from the bench and sees a chance to break in the rotation.
“I feel I can help the team, give them another big man on the bench to give them energy,” Randolph said. “It’s hard to watch. If it was up to me, I’d already have been out there in Boston.”

I think he gets 15-20 minutes
and hopefully he does play against the Magic, especially if its takes Roger Mason out of the rotation.

A soaring block on Dwight Howard that starts a fast break
which ends with Gallinari snapping the net with a 3 and kick-starting his confidence and fueling a Knick run that stuns the Magic with a defeat.

It would be nice to double Howard with a 7 foot athlete.
I hate that over-hyped piece of garbage, Dwight Howard. There’s never been a more glorified 15 and 15 guy in history.
15 and 15 is pretty boss, I'd glorify any Knick who managed to get that
all writing their names in cursive with a bedazzler on my sneaks, gyrating happily each time they rebound
I seen it too
who knows what the money’s like, but the new CBA and WilChan’s recent testicle inflation on the court appears to have changed things.
Don’t blame either side, or whoever’s nixing it.

Yeah, only 2 guys have gotten extensions... Noah and Durant
Chandler isn’t singled out by any means.

Only If He Is Healthy
Bring him if healthy. Play him at the PF/SF/C position in a reserve roll and tell him rebound, rebound and rebound. If he starts taking foolish jump shots like before then put him back on thebench until he listens. He seems like a good guy and does listen to the coaches. What ever happen to Earl Barron?
Dzidimolf
That SHOULD be the idea when bringing in AR. He’s capable of bringing down 12 rebs a game if thats what his reponsibility is. Play less on the wing and more on the corners of the block. Turiaf has been great w/ the post D, but he does this b/c he times his jump very well..he isnt a natural jumper which is why he struggle on the glass at times…8 blocks and 10 rebs on the year so far.
Barron wanted that huge contract. Somehow his agent thought that 2 weeks of games last year warranted that guaranteed money. Instead now, he’s not a part of an nba roster. We dont need extra players..We actually have the players at pf and C, Mosgov, turiaf, amare, Randolph need to pick up the fundamentals of rebounding. But with mosgov being a rook, and randolph being underutilized previously as a pf/c… they have to get minutes and time under the belt to up that part of their game.
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
its offical he will play tomorrow against the magic!
just heard it on the mcdonald and tierney show
Just Rebound and Defend
Somebody needs to show him the early yrs of Camby as a Knick. Do that and everything will be gravy.
