Its Time!
I continue to try look at this as a "work in progress" but with the fashion of some of the losses this week i am starting to lose patience. If we hit 15 losses before 10 wins i feel Donnie needs to can Mike. I was never a Supporter of the "D'antoni system" but i wanted to see it succeed. Now i feel that this guy (as well as his brother) should have to purchase tickets to attend a Knicks game.
NYC would rejoice if Jeff Van Gundy returned to the bench at MSG but it seems this is not a reality. Mark Jackson is a possibility and would also be welcomed back to MSG with open arms but can we really afford another work in progress? Mike Brown.........Ummm.......NO! That leaves me with Herb Williams (for now). He has been head coach of this team as well as an assistant and a player/coach. This is a team to win 40-50 games and land a 5-7 seed, if it does then give herb a shot. If we capture the 8th seed or are forced watch Houston use our draft pick in June than only one name should be mentioned for the job......Patrick Ewing. We all know it needs to happen already.
-He has worked with 2 of the top big men in the league (Amar'e would become a beast working under him).
-A inferior team like this would be responsive immediately to a man of his stature. When Mike yells, someone like Amar'e must laugh a bit inside. If Pat were to yell, Amar'e will listen!
-No man would be welcomed to NYC more than No. 33.
-MELO. The Heat are sick for now but this team will rise to championship level and we need to compete in the future. If Melo chooses to come here via Free Agency to have a man like Patrick as your coach will just seal the deal.
-The Ring. If Patrick Ewing ever wins a ring it needs to have a Knick Logo.
Going into this new era of the Super Team the Knicks have an oppritunity to restore the honor in the franchise and erase 10 years of Isiah, Allan Houston's contract, Starbury and all the draft picks. Championships need to be won now because the Era of Harrison Barnes draws closer!

the sad thing about this JVG stuff
is people actually believe the Knicks are horrible at defense. The fact is they’re worse on offense lately then defense.
And a lot of it is layups too, so I dunno about ’coaching".
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
The other sad thing
is that anyone believes JVG actually wants to ever coach a pro basketball team again, much less one owned by Jimmy Dolan.
the more the years go by
it looks like winning will never come back as long as Dolan’s here.
At least Donald Sterling and the Clips get #1 overall picks like Griffen to root for and luck into Eric Gordon

Yea….JVG would never come back to NY as long as Jimmy is here
I think he was actually quoted as having said that, think I remember reading it

JVG's style of play is outdated in the current NBA era
He lost his job in Houston because he was unable to adjust to the allowance of zone and the hand-checking emphasis.
There is no reason to think that Jackson or Ewing could run the Knicks. Have you heard Jackson as a commentator? He doesn’t seem to have an in-depth view of the game, especially compared to JVG. Ewing’s personality seems suited for the assistant’s role which is a reason why he hasn’t gotten a single interview to this point…
I love D’Antoni’s schematic ideas. You people need to get less angry; every time something goes wrong, it doesn’t always help to find the nearest sacrificial lamb. At this point people attribute every negative to him and develop a frothing hate for everything about him, and to you I say that’s unhealthy, step away from your computer and take a walk in the park or something.

Its one thing to think up a great scheme, its another to implement it. How did Doc get Nate harnessed and under control, and get him to play within the scheme? How did he get 3 huge super-star personalities to mesh and sacrifice a little bit of themselves to make the team better? How did he mesh these 3 while developing a budding star PG? How does he get Big Baby to produce at such a high quality when he’s on the floor?
Did Doc smash his system over their heads or did he tweak things here and there to take advantage of the talent that he has? How is it that they play so soundly at both ends of the floor, and execute so well in the crunch? Is it luck?
Who has MDA coached up? Was Phoenix any worse after he left? I think some of us are frustrated because we see a Knicks team thats just as talented as any they’ve faced thus far. But they’re vastly underperforming. They’re not executing at either end. They’re offense is stagnant, awkward and disjoinnted. Players often seem to be out of place and generally have no idea what it is they’re supposed to be doing; which seems to happen for looong stretches.
The Knicks are disorganized and inconsistent, and they lack an identity on both ends. This is piss poor coaching.
