A GREAT game for the debate...

now don't get me wrong, i don't look for moral victories, but i'm damn proud of the knicks as i'm sure most of you are too. competitive, tough, skilled basketball.

but losing by 2 points to one of the best teams in the league (and putting up 116 points against their defense) got me thinking... and wondering what y'all thought about what lost the game for us (though don't feel compelled to respond to this post if you find it "non-sensical" or "beneath" you).

do the melo "supporters" think his abilities would have put us over the top?

do the melo "waiters and/or detractors" think more depth would have put us over the top?

obviously there are other factors to consider like who we'd fill our bench with if we traded for melo, or who we'd unload to improve our bench and depth... but the way i see it, we lost this game because our 3 man bench gave away too much, and our 5 man rotation might have just got worn out.  shooting over 50%, i don't think it was our offense that needed a lift, nor was it that we were lacking another "go to" guy...

the way i saw this game was that we were one backup PG short, and one rebounding big man too few (just look at the +/- breakdown)...

go 'head boys...
