This mostly based off of Osborn's series of trade proposals. I know some of you are pretty sick of all these ideas, and I also wouldn't mind sitting still and giving guys like AR, Mozzie and Walker some more burn. However, this a trade I thought of, and believe it could yield some nice results:
Knicks get:
-Jason Thompson: 7.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, .4 bpg, .482% FG
Salary2011: $2,178,000
-Beno Udrih: 12.4 ppg, 4.4 apg, 1 spg, .48% FG
Salary2011: $6,478,600
Kings get:
I didn't bother with the Knicks players' stats because we generally know what they do in the game.
On the Knicks' side, they get two capable bench players. Udrih is generally one of the better bench point guards in the league. He's a poor 3-point shooter, but good at getting in the lane and he's quick. Jason Thompson's name has been thrown around a lot, and to be honest I don't know his status too well with the Kings, but he could be great next to Stoudemire. No, he's not really a big defensive presence, but he can score inside and rebound. He's 6'11" and if need be, could still be given breaks by Turiaf or Mozgov.
On the King's side, though they give up two solid bench players, they get some tangible aspects in return. With Toney Douglas and Anthony Randolph, they'd continue to gather young talent for the future alongside Tyreke Evans, Cousins and Omri Cassipi. Douglas could come off the bench and play some PG. He really could play PG in a system unlike D'Antoni's where the offense isn't so reliant on the point guard position. Also, they'd get size back with Randolph. They'd receive cap relief with Buike's salary, and a wing bench player in Bill walker, who can be productive despite his lack of playing time recently.
What do ya'll think?
