Ronny Turiaf will probably return tonight against the Timberwolves.

Marc Berman has the word from Ronny Turiaf, who plans to return to the lineup for tonight's game against glass-friendly Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Energizing center Ronny Turiaf will make his return tonight from his latest knee sprain after a four-game absence, and it's perfect timing. Kevin Love is invading the Garden.

This will be the first Love match for the Knicks since the Timberwolves' glass cleaner posted his historic 31-31 double-double on Nov. 12 against them -- the first 30-30 game since Moses Malone did it in 1982.

Turiaf missed that game, too, with knee soreness. But he doesn't sound too worried about Love.

"I'm looking forward to winning a game," Turiaf said. "I'm not looking forward to playing against Kevin Love. Kevin Love isn't the guy who makes my heart beat. I like the way he plays. He does the dirty work. I'll try to prevent that."

It remains to be seen whether Turiaf returns to the starting lineup or comes off the bench, but either way, I think we can expect a heavy dose of Wilson Chandler. Wil has the best shot at containing Michael Beasley (who was as deadly as Love in the last game, not to mention twice as obnoxious) and also brings some extra rebounding to the floor.

So, yeah. It's great to have Turiaf back, assuming he's ready to go. In other news, I hereby declare the comment section of this post a contest to see who can come up with a "Love" headline cheesier than the Post's.
