Iverson Out, Lee IN
Just heard this on ESPN. Iverson staying with sick daughter, leaving a vacant spot on the Eastern All-Star squad to be filled by our very own David Lee. Would have liked to have seen Lee get the votes, but even so, this is a very nice boost to NY, considering the turmoil that the Knicks continue to tunnel through. Can anyone substantiate this further though, cause I don't see it talked about much on various Interblogs.

true
it is via unfortunate circumstances. For argument’s sake though, A.I. was not having an all-star caliber year anyhow. Now he can rest those achy knees and gain the extra family time. Win win…win. Win^3

of course not, but the fans vote the starters and its popularity
I dont agree with who they generally choose, but I dont hold it against players who get chosen when they don’t deserve to. Not their fault.

Glad Lee made it afterall.
However, Jason Kidd? Can;t doubt his crednetials over his career, but this year his age is kinda showing.
Umm… Monta Ellis????
Should have been an easy call!

yeah, really
Kidd’s still playing well, but Ellis has been off the charts. In the west, Stern picked the old all-star for one last hurrah. In the east, he did the opposite.
jason terry would have been a better pick even
but yea monta deserved it. boozer, landry? how about fuckin tyreke evans!!! dude is outplaying the majority of the league all year.
but anyway… it was a home town pick. and even though i despise the guy, he’s still a crowd pleaser, no homo.
