well it says Done? ...like that. the ?
Walsh I do believe is trying to find a clue, and figuring that it might be a little smart to cover his freshly gaped asshole by protetcing those draft pics.
..cuz you know…the gigantic gamble they’re taking for this offseason COULD come up with nothing?

You keep making this gamble point
But what exactly do they have right now? an aberrative 9-6 month sandwiched between a 10-27 team. Sure, maybe they end up with no one this offseason. But this team is not winning a title, or even entering the upper echelon of this conference with the team they have now. And they’ve been terrible for ten years. Ten miserable years. Why not take a risk that could immediately turn this team’s fortunes around? Why not? What on earth are we protecting but a 30 win team?
And if he really is protecting those picks in 2011/12, then their inclusion is not a big deal at all. Either this move pans out, we get our free agents and those picks are in the 20’s, or it doesn’t pan out, we suck for three or four more years and get to keep our lottery picks. Either way, I’m in. I’m tired of losing.
me too.
But I don’t want to Isiah Thomas our way through this with max contracts and long term deals to players like Lee.
All I ask is to keep Jordan Hill. Keep Him. You never know.
But you will know what he will do on the Knicks if he’s gone, and that’s nothing.
You don’t give up young players…just on a whim.
If we’er trading future picks away..why do we have to trade the current one?
If were signing 2 max players..re-upping Lee most likely…that’s 3 players, 5 including Gallo and Chan.
They all ain’y playing 48 minutes…and we ain’t got no rooks coming in.
There’s gambles.
There’s ignorant gambles.
And there’s gambles..that you cover your ass for too.
The Rockets are laughing at the thought of this trade going down.
That doesn’t make you squeamish on it? Its eating at my balls as the rumor pushes toward news.

To be fair
I believe we do have 2 2nd round picks this year, so your line on “no rookies coming in” is technically incorrect. Now, how good will those guys be, and can they really contribute, is a reasonable concern.
Don’t forget also, our Owner (as much as many dislike him) has cash to spare, to say the least. We could definitely buy a late 1st round pick or two just like last year.
Keep Jordan Hill.
Let Lee go
use the 8 mill on a PG.
Is that too much to ask?
Leave teh 2011 switch pick and 2012 pick unprotected, I don’t care.
You don’t see the financial sense in that? Keeping a player that probably can do what Lee does (and will get a chance, as Harrington and Jeffries are gone opening up minutes)
Rookie contract Hill…vs. probably $10 mill a year LEe for long term.
Lee and a veteran minimum PG?
Hill and whoever the availabe PG is this summer.

i dont agree
i wouldnt keep hill over lee.. lee is established and would be a great compliment to a better player.. jhill is still a question mark
what pg can we get right now for 8 mil?
your willing to watch this summer go down w/ a very slim chance of landing one of the most coveted FA class ever? im not.
Its FINANCIALLY a better move, yea. but as far as a franchise move. i dont rank Jhill as a franchise movement. This summer is a franchise movement.
If we make the trade our chances double at getting FA’s.. getting the first would be key, then getting lebron/wade. thats what we should set our sights on. not our hopes that jhill will work out.
I believe with better players affter FA..toney doug will step the play up big time.
PG right now? None
There could be players had in the offseason.
Maybe…just maybe now, there is a team with a PG with a long term contract, that would like to get cap relief for 2011? Eddy Curry could be that expiring contract.

true
but thats wishful thinking.. id rather donnie walsh take the agressive move and then have the ball in his court this offseason. instead of waiting for the ace to be dealt to him.
s/n: houston fans are laughing at the deal, yea. but watch when we grab players this offseason..WHOEVER they are.. and the rockets decline. they have surprised a lot of teams this year w/ there play.
but a season in the books, and teams will scheme against what they have seen from them this year. maybe our switching 011 picks will BENEFIT us. ok thats wishful thinking but that would just be icing on the cake.
all this chicago buzz..
i believe is just steam for houston to make donnie jump. i hope donnie sticks to the offer thats on the table and doesnt to anything drastic. like adding another pick
Another possible trade
TKB mentioned that the Bucks had some interest in Harrington – Harrington for Ridinour/Alexander? That would be pretty awesome.
But I was just thinking – what if none of these prospective trades happens and we wake up after the deadline with the same team? Ugh… we may not win another game….
+1
a lot of updates on tkb… just found out about that site. but do the things he writes usually happen or is it like isola’s crap lol
TKB is pretty good
Doesn’t make things up, sometimes speculates but it’s presented as such. They tend to consolidate what others are reporting and provides some good analysis which tends to be pretty sympathetic to Walsh and D’antoni. As for the comments there, I only occasionally have the stomach for them. The good thing is that Tommy Dee will actually argue with the dorkier comments.
P&T is the only place where I almost always enjoy reading the comments!
trade talk everywhere
nate-boston again / harrington for thomas or ridnour & alexander / and the tmac biz
potential roster?? if all these are made-
ridnour td duhon
tmac-chandler-
gallo- house- chandler
chandler-lee-
lee-dorsey-curry?!
havent taken the time to check any of the incoming contracts..im assuming they are all expiring. but then again.. the deadline could pass with none if these trades happening
