Game Thread: Knicks vs. Bulls- 2/17/10

Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks, Feb 17, 2010 7:30 PM EST

That's right, folks. They still have to play games while all this is going on. I have absolutely no idea who is on the Knicks, nor who is on the Bulls right now, so this should be interesting.

In all seriousness, we know Nate is sitting, and we've now heard that John Salmons is sitting. They tell me these facts are meaningful.

Come along and comment on the game, and go check out Blog-a-Bull as well. Go Knicks! Right?

seems like he has the ability to shot, just puts a tad too much excitement into it. the rim is unfriendly to his shot.

by riise on Feb 17, 2010 8:26 PM EST up reply actions

anyone wondering why the darko cardinal deal…here’s why

The Knicks will look to waive recently acquired Brian Cardinal, and open up roster spots for what’s expected to be a multiple player deal -read Tracy McGrady .

Why did the Timberwolves take on Darko Milicic, there was a sizable cash component to the deal. Cardinal was apparently open to a contract buyout, where Darko was not.

right the latest only mentioned the players not picks.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 8:53 PM EST up reply actions

The Boston Celtics will be adding JR Giddens to their trade with the New York Knicks. The Celtics will get back Nate Robinson, that deal is expected to be sealed later tonight. Sources say Nate could be in uniform Thursday night as a Celtic.

that might be counting the picks, might not.

they sound like he will be playing for them tomorrow on tnt,.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 8:50 PM EST up reply actions

TNT’s David Aldridge is reporting that Chicago’s John Salmons could be headed to Milwaukee in a deal for Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson. This would be a smart move for Milwaukee as Salmon’s lines up with their 2011 free agency plans and fills an immediate need in Milwaukee. Thomas and Elson are ending contracts.

The Knicks/Wolves trade- the Knicks will save $1.5 million in salary and tax payments.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 8:47 PM EST reply actions

which knowing dolan means he paid minnesota 3 mil to save 1.5.

ha, the wiz realized who they are to start the 4th; 89-87 t-wolves outscoring wiz 14-1 to start the quarter.

this is why salmons is in the hotel room

Bulls and Bucks have reached agreement to trade Chicago’s John Salmons for Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson, a league source tells Y!

no, what he knows is the org is only loyal to him and whatever he wants.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:21 PM EST up reply actions

and how can the knicks say anything about loyalty?

-Wei Todd Ed

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 17, 2010 9:28 PM EST up reply actions

i see more of a 30ppg type of game if he becomes a more consitent shooter

he drives pretty well, and most of the fouls he draws can be finished, also his shot looks to be more of a adjustment to the distance. when he has more experience, he might have that no-miss shot

CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH

by IB on Feb 17, 2010 9:32 PM EST up reply actions

indeed

sometimes he wheels in, then spins around

by Seth on Feb 17, 2010 9:29 PM EST up reply actions

i think he is just confused cause he is only used to going east west on the sideline along the bench.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:29 PM EST up reply actions

hopefully they are protecting him from injury for the trade

by Frank E on Feb 17, 2010 9:30 PM EST reply actions

so now that chicago got rid of salmons for expirings if miami doesnt get amare is d-wade going to go home to play w rose?

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:32 PM EST reply actions

or still think he might come here?

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:33 PM EST up reply actions

didnt they have the chance to trade al for tyrus early in the year?

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:36 PM EST up reply actions

it was discussed

still is. the bulls are looking at a lot of suitors for him.

by Seth on Feb 17, 2010 9:37 PM EST up reply actions

not saying tyrus is great by any means but he bring something the knicks need and getting rid of all would help will and gallo develop.

by Michael Gleich on Feb 17, 2010 9:37 PM EST up reply actions

seems wierd

d’antoni keeps preaching everything is about developing chandler and gallo, yet he wants tmac?

by Frank E on Feb 17, 2010 9:36 PM EST reply actions

obviously

i understand that aspect, but theres been reports hes intrigued of having him as a player

by Frank E on Feb 17, 2010 9:38 PM EST up reply actions

well when ur talking about a guy who was a superstar the chip on the shoulder can be a great tool to use. mcgrady will at least care for the rest of the year as opposed to the effort last night.

hes just flip flopping immensely on those 2 statements
