Marbury reportedly passed up a final shot with five seconds remaining, feeding to former Knicks teammate Maurice Taylor, who missed the potential game-winning jumper. Shanxi is one of the worst teams in the Chinese Basketball Association.
China is apparently a big retirement home for demon-coach-era Knicks. Read more for word from Steph on his early impressions of playing overseas.

but how about how he goes on to say
“I wish them well,” Marbury said. “No one there on the team loves the Knicks like I do. I still love the Knicks no matter what. That’s real love, no matter what anyone says about me. All of what I went through in New York took the air out of the ball.”"
he may be a duechebag but he was always an honest duechebag. i believe him. He’s like the ex-girlfriend that you make abundantly clear it’s over, and you don’t want anything to do with her, but she still writes facebook status’ about you.
he still is from Brooklyn
you know. Playing here probably was what he laid and bed and dreamed about. He fucked it up bad, but he certainly had help. I don’t hate Steph like the press and a lot of the fans do.
I don't understand
What is Berman’s obsession with Steph? Is anyone but him actually still interested in the day to day machinations of Stephon Marbury?
i'm not, but i see the appeal
marbury is really a tragic figure in NBA terms. between leaving the Wolves early, watching Kidd and Nash take his former teams to the next level, and flaming out in his hometown, it’s a bizarre career path for a guy with his talent.
plus, he’s crazy, and everyone’s interested in crazy people.

Even though
Marbury’s a big failure as a point guard and a kind of bizarre character, there is something likeable about him, and as a new yorker, he’s still a knick fan.
the problem with Steph
is he a 1 1/2. Just like Isiah was, but everyone tried to make him a pure 1. No one ever figured this out for some reason.
he was also a badass NBA player
he was a top tier talent.

Talented yes,
But I think he lacks the talent of leadership that a point guard needs. That’s not a knock on him, he just never had the right temprament to be a point guard, even though he could dribble, shoot, and pass with the best of them.
wait a second boys
who has a college championship? yeah, keep hating.
