Thoughts on the Summer

So, I know speculation has been crazy since the T-Mac trade, with the possibilities pretty much endless.  But I don't want to spend a lot on Boozer or Amare.  Or even Joe Johnson.  As Knicks fans, we've seen a lot of underwhelming stuff over the past decade, and despite our recent depths, 5-seeds don't really intrigue me.  I've SEEN the Knicks better than that. That being said, Donnie B has really forced our hand by trading away those picks; we have to get better this offseason.  But do we have to get THAT much better this offseason?  Ideally, yes.  HWSNBN + Bosh or HWSNBN + Lee + Serge + decent FA, I wouldn't mind so much.  But it likely won't work out that way.  One thing I am hoping for is intelligent satellite signings around whatever centerpiece we focus on.  Here's my question for everyone; if we don't get a true centerpiece, would you be happy with the knicks sitting on half of their current cap space until summer 2011?  Maybe we'd get an improvement next season anyways, hoping for Gallo/Chandler's continued development and whatever other pieces we add making a difference.  Combining 15M with Curry's expiring, we could definitely get a lot better in 2011 when fewer teams will be vying for the big targets.

Thinking and Drinking (our best past time at the moment),
