Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Sad, But True

I came across this after waking up in shame from last night's loss. For some reason it really hurt.

Via Fanhouse:

'I suppose giving [Eddie Jordan] a player like [Samuel Dalembert] in the first place made as much sense as Mike D'Antoni choosing Chris Duhon as his point guard.'

Guess we're still the ass of many jokes across the league. Brandon Jennings last night didn't help change that.

Summer 2010!!!

I didn't watch the game, but from the stats it looks like it wasn't really Nate's fault. 7 assts to 0 TO is not too shabby. Am I being misled?

and if we had our 1st round pick, we’d be able to drool over kentucky games watching players like john wall and demarcus cousins.

Brandon Jennings last night didn't change what?

22 points on 23 shots? That sucks. He had 8 assists…

Nate Robinson had 13 points on 12 shots with 7 assists. Fuckin Jennings… I get it, he may have been a nice novelty act to pass by the 2009 season. But can it end?

Jordan Hill can hit shots from the outside at 6"10. I haven’t seen anything to sway me from thinking Hill will be a double-double machine and an energy player either off the bench or as a starting PF or C.

Give me Hill’s potential over Jennings potential as a scoring PG who chucks up a thousand shots a game and shoots a low %. Any fucking day of the week.

Rectum? Damn near killed em!

**I compare Nate's 3/12 13pts

cuz Nate was OK…and basically had as good a night as Jennings except shot a whole lot less.

I’m glad they passed on Jennings to be honest.

….Ty Lawson is another story.

except for the fact

that after a very cold first half for jennings, he came in the second half and killed us with big shots alley oops and did it while antagonizing the crowd…

You’re both right, as Jennings seems to be an enigma…I wanted Jennings at the time (obviously biased because i got to see him play Rubio in Europe), but i am perfectly content with the Jordan Hill selection. Jennings may have more to contribute this year but you can never go wrong with an active, big man with a jump shot. He’s the type of player that any contender would want and need.

it eats me up

because i knew this was a chance to get a monster point guard. and not only that, it was our last chance to make a big splash before 2010. i honestly didn’t think jennings would be around at 8 or wehrever it was we picked.

nevertheless, i am not upset at jordan hill for that. and i’m always pulling for my guys and rooting against the opposition. jennings has potential to be a great point guard. but don’t get your bloomers in too big of a bunch.

he won’t be in milwaukee forever, kiddies.

and honestly

its not like we’re the only team who passed on him. he was a high risk high reward player who ended up being pretty good. obviously in hindsight it prob woulda made sense to go pg at the 9th pick and went with a big with pick 30 but any1 sounds smart in hindsight.

…. i agree with bradshaw tho. i can see why teams would skip out on a player who played in europe and didnt exactly do well there, but ty lawson seems like hes gonna be a very solid player and prob would have done very well in this system. at the very least getting a guard in the draft would have at least set us up better for this summer where we plan on signing a big FA and getting a steady pg….whatever i digress we’re here now and it could be much worse. i like hill

…say what u want but hes talented and the potentials there
