yes they are

I watched them play at the clippers back in January and these morons where laughing it up during a stretch of the game where they were losing by 8; HWSNBN, Shaq, and Mo Williams where cracking up on the sidelines while Delonte “The Punisher” West was laughing his ass off during his free throw attempts. It was a weird game. It worked out for them though, they came back and put away LAC in the second half.

ah well

i know this game sucked, but at least it made wil look valuable. and bill walker was obviously a bright spot. let’s not forgot td’s relatively nice game (6 pts, 6 ast). tough opponent, horrible loss. that’s what we should expect going forward as we feature the young guys / t-mac / house. curry, come back soon so we can trade you this offseason!

Anyway, you should check out the movie "Black and White," which actually stars Allan Houston. It’s not a comedy, but rather a really serious and emotional movie. - Wilson Chandler

Our defense is a JOKE

You can get whoever you want in free agency but if we continue to play defense like that we will always be a mediocre/ borderline terrible team….FORRRRRRRRRRRR-EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV-EEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

the NYK defense will always ensure that they stay a mediocre/ terrible team.

It is the worst damn defense in the NBA!

we could be the Warriors….

You can't get worse than that team of circus acts.

I have the unfortunate/fortunate opportunity to watch the Warriors on a daily basis, as I go to school in the Bay Area. The only bright spot on that garbage team is Steph Curry. But yes, I will shocked if we lose to GSW. They never guard anyone, they can’t rebound, and they can’t even make free throws.

Ugh.

I suppose that or something like it is what it’s going to be like for the rest of the season. I love this team, love following them (especially here), but I don’t like watching them very much right now.

One theorem we can test out for the rest of the season is, there is an inverse relationship between the quality of dick jokes made in these threads and the quality of the team we root for.

Rangers, Royals, Raiders, Knicks...the man loves a winner.

by self loather on Mar 2, 2010 10:25 AM EST reply actions

Eddie House is terrible. Bill Walker is below average. It seems like D’Antoni is trying to lose. Why isn’t the lineup:

Sergio
Toney
Gallinari
?? NBDL PF call-up. Someone who can rebound/play D.
David Lee

with a bench of

Chandler
T-Mac
Harrington

by mindfeck on Mar 2, 2010 10:40 AM EST reply actions

if the NBDL had someone who could rebound and play D

they wouldnt still be in the NBDL.

d-league

I know there’s not a lot of decent talent coming out of there right now, but both John Starks and Anthony Mason came out of the CBA (NBA minor league, precursor to NBADL).

I can’t see any big man player who wouldn’t take a shot with the Knicks. Not sure why the feeling isn’t mutual.

by superturboultra on Mar 2, 2010 2:04 PM EST up reply actions

thanks, but he is still under contract for Memphis

and he is another raw project player who isn’t NBA ready…

If you guys want to read an entertaining recap of the game and my opinions on the team

go the fan post section and look for this heading: “This team does not deserve to be called the Knicks, and they don’t deserve to play at MSG.” I look forward to reading your comments and feed back.

Deserved

It was a good recap and assessment. But if you call what they do at MSG, “playing” you haven’t been watching closely enough. It’s better described as self-crapping.

at least ESPN had a reason to play all Cavs highlights.

Sometimes you never see who their opponents are. Its just LeBron and Co. and a mentioning of who they play. Unless its the Lakers or Celtics, its like the other team isn’t even in the building

from ESPN

Curtis (AZ)

After the Knicks performance last night, when are people going to figure out that D’Antoni rode Steve Nash’s coattails to a phat contract in NY?
Chad Ford
  (1:25 PM)

Why is everyone so down on D’Antoni. He has no point guard. No center. His best player is David Lee and then … Gallinari? Wilson Chandler? If he was coaching the Nets right now, they’d be a 25 win team. But there’s only so much you can do. Knicks fans need to chill. Walsh recruited D’Antoni knowing that players love to play for him. He’s one of the Knicks biggest selling points to LeBron and company this summer. Give him some talent and he’ll make it sing.

by JkiLLa on Mar 2, 2010 1:30 PM EST reply actions

I thought the funniest statement about last night's game came from Skip Bayless

He called us the Washington Generals. It was at that moment I was able to get a grip and begin to look forward to the brighter days that are just around the corner.

LOL!

You know…I find it interesting sometimes that they’d say the Knicks wouldn’t have won even with HWSNBN in that game.

Really?

I’d be happy if HWSNBN came to NY. But sometimes…I’d just be happy if he just left Cleveland. I wonder how the population in that fanbase would be affected.

I’d put some money that it would not grow larger.

Reading the comments and the reporting there made me even more proud of P&T

I cannot tell you how appreciative I am of this site not taking itself too seriously. I know some of these pages dedicate themselves to gaining national attention (Bright Side of the Sun is a good example), but even they make jokes and do well with witty comments. Reading the little spat over the “even the Knicks wouldn’t have won with Lebron tonight” made me cringe. The reaction of laying out your own credibility over such a nothing comment is so over the top.
And I further love how he was told to keep the humor out of the recaps… wow.

The fact that Seth does such a good job analytically with each post and manages to interject as much comedy as anyone else here makes this page what it is. Seth, thanks for making this page fun and intelligent at the same time. And for never making a point to talk about how qualified you are to do what you do. Seriously. Posting & Toasting is amazing. Classically ridiculous in the best way :-)
