Holy Shit

I completely missed this game, so this is by no means a recap.  But...

I was saying after the Spurs game that if the Knicks would start Toney at the point in the next game (and I thought/fantasized they might) the Knicks might win the game because they might set a defensive tone, knock the other team on its heels and then blitz them with points.  I know, I know it's my mantra.  But I didn't count on this:

T. Douglas G 30:52 8-10 4-4 1-2 +22 0 2 8 0 1 1 0 2 21

Star-divide

That there might be the best point guard line of the season.  8 assists, no turnovers, 8-10  from the field....  and, although I didn't see it, I imagine the kind of DWTDD defense one can expect from him.

Definitely a highlight of the season.  Surprising that Surge did not make an appearance, but with those gaudy turnover numbers, I can imagine why.  With the pressure off and some distance from the spotlight, Duhon looks to have turned in a decent 10 minutes of relief work.

If Walker can shoot 5-8 from three with any regularity, then the guy is a real fucking find.  Even if he just does it once in a while like Al Buckets, I think he does the other stuff better than Al......

I think starting for the rest of the season is one of the things TDD...... hopefully we'll see some more of this kind of thing.

Obviously many are gonna bitch that TD wasn't starting earlier in the season

but for real, lets just leave him there.

Pringles, if you read P & T..or a Pringles disciple is reading it…leave TD as the starter.

Fucking eh, not a single one of the other PG’s just hustles like this dude. His offensive game is very developed and dude is the best, BY FAR, defending PG on the team.

Let bygones be bygones, fk what’s happened up till now.

Start TD…and see what he can do with extended minutes.

I know almost all of P & T knew there was something there with TD…just use him. 30 minutes is a start. Give him more.

Fuck Duhon

I'll believe it when the seasons over

too many times we’ve seen Pringles go back and forth with the PG’s.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Duhon’s starting by Friday…..

its nice

that they give duhon minutes despite sucking and after trading for rodriguez, but he seriously has to stop playing. hes gonna be a free agent and wont resign.

Those were merely

charity minutes for duhon..DA is loyal to the good guys on the team. and Duhon is one of them. He’s no good on the court, but he’s a great character guy and I read some quotes of his this weekend, saying he is not mad about the loss of minutes, and that he is coaching up TD as much as he can.

He knows his role and is a student of the game so i appreciate him taking his much needed benching like most nba players who cant ball should.

anyway..im excited to see how we play after a 34 point win. We have came out flat before coming off big wins, but right now, i think DA has the team playing with some energy, and TD is responsible.

The goal from here on out. Get as far away from the lottery as possible

don't like the idea of duhon coaching douglas

but i never get what i want.

i agree with you, hopefully we can finish the season strong, and prove a point around the league, that we are not a bunch of suckers. it would be a real shit-storm to close out with a whimper, give the jazz a great pick, and seem like beggers going into the off-season.

I was thinking the same thing

What is Duhon going to teach Toney? How to build a brick house from behind the 3 point line? How to dribble to nowheresville and then finally pass the ball with 8 seconds on the shot clock, and no closer to the basket then you were 10 seconds earlier?

But I feel bad, it was easy to hate Dudoo when he was playing regular minutes, but with him playing cheerleader on the bench, and by all accounts being a good teammate, I’ll let him slide.

TD's got me sprung at this point pause

but next game is against the Celtics. Regardless of who wins…lets see what TD can orchestrate in that one (word to Clyde, Gus, and Derek Harper)

Interesting, with TD starting

It feels like they’ve got a good shot to beat the Celtics. I say Nate drops 37 but Gallo wins it on a three at the buzzer (assist: TD)

Ok

But if that exact thing doesn’t happen, we’re all going to think a lot less of you.
