Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Your Favorite Clyde Rhyming Pairs

This will serve an eventual purpose, I think. I've assembled a list of a bunch of Walt Frazier's rhyming gerunds. I might've forgotten a couple, but unless there's a super glaring omission, just go ahead and pick from this list. All I want to know is which are most beloved and most typify your Clyde experience. You can only pick one, which sucks, but just play along. Note that Posting and Toasting is not included. Don't worry about it.

Shaking and Baking

Takes me back to the old days as a kid listening to Breen and Clyde on 660. “Shaking and Baking on the baseline.”

Gotta be bounding and astounding.

I miss the days of him calling a certain Knicks player “omnipotent”.

I can only pray that someday it comes back. Or Clyde pauses Mike Breen.

I love that word, Astounding

is there someone out thee willing to take on Clyde Frazier’s Speech Coach a name? He is so endearing, but I don’t know of another announcer who hammers last names like he does…

"you're the Rod Thorn in my Chris Bosh side."

Gotta be Penetrating and Devastating

I just imagine Clyde doing the play by play for one of the rare times that I bag a chick and smile.

"But when he saw it, he just put his hands up and they couldn’t give it to him. It just fell to the ground, I-I don’t, you know … So, that showed me he had great experience..." - Jeff Van Gundy

Slicing and Dicing.

Darrelle Revis once won a game of Connect Four in three moves.
