Why is everyone getting so worked up?
Yes, the loss last night was terrible. Yes, the Knicks have been terrible since January. Yes, they will continue to be terrible. But this is what has to happen. There's no mercy rule in the NBA. We have to play out the stretch with this team that isn't very good and just suck it up and hope for something better.
The thing I think is most important to remember is that this team right now will bare no resembelence to the team that will be on the court come October. Only Wilson, TD, Gallo and possibly Billy Walker will be here along with two new second round picks and some hopefully well chosen free agents.
And even if this summer is a bust, Donnie is no idiot and we're not going to end up with a $100 million contract for Carlos Boozer. We have the 'flexibility' to keep us competetive for a couple of years, not everything has to be done this season.
One final note - as much as I may not like MDA, give him a break. He might not be my favorite coach but Jesus himself couldn't pump out more than say, 25 wins with this roster.
So wait, be paitent and stop taking every loss so seriously. It's going to be ugly for some time, especially if we end up starting all young players and (hopefully) buying out some veterans that deserve a chance to compete with other teams (Al, Duhon, Eddie House).

Personally,
I was hoping we would save a little for next year and go after an elite point guard. Chris Paul is available. After Lebron James, I really don’t have faith in the other big names of 2010.

Agreed
I was thinking the same thing. The way that Nick Collison is playing and the cost it will take to keep CP3 NO might have to let him walk or possibly do a sign and trade. Lets say you add CB4 this season, play Curry until you can trade him you have a legit front court. We’ve got the wings already in Gallo and Chandler, plus Sergio, DWTDD and Tmac can hold down the backcourt until NYK gets CP3 in 2011.
Are you sure
Donnie is no idiot?
I hope you’re right.

best article ive read today.
some folks need a glass of water to the face on this site. This team is only the New York Knicks for another 2 months, so why lose your head now?
i for one just hate it when i see lack of effort. when you see lebron pull fast breaks and finish with high-flying show-boating antics it gets real old real fast. where’s the class? what does that show to those young kids that idolize you? no class. for the knicks part, where’s the heart? anybody who saw that game saw the look on D-Lee’s face when Varajao taunted him. you knew he wanted to do something, yet he didn’t. sometimes its not okay to just turn the other cheek. and if there was going to be the bi-annual NBA brawl that game would’ve been a good a time as any. i just want passion from the knicks. everyone knew these 2 past seasons were in-between years but at least make it competitive!
on a side note, i cannot WAIT to see the cav’s get outted by the bobcats in the first round. that’ll be Jordan’s ultimate eff you to queen james.
Cant knock LBJ for class
We love it when Nate dunked on guys and posed after. We never say shit when Gallo thew down on Hibbert (i think) and posed for a second after. Its all show-boating. We just don’t like it when its us being posterized.

i wont get upset about the cavs showboating
but I was pissed none of the Knicks tried to get physical with the Puppet Show. Even if you don’t take a shot LeBron, how about Gallo or Lee getting into a fight with Side Show Bob, he’s a soft flopping piece of crap who will back down if you fight back.

one of the keys to being a fan
The nature of the beast is that we are always gonna love the knicks more than the players that play for them! And of course in some cases there are players that just dont give a damn……………………..AL HARRINGTON!!!!!!
It's just a humiliating loss
And I think it struck a nerve. I don’t know if a hard foul or two would have made it better. I hope that the players that are here just file it away and remember the beating.
With a little more experience, a little more practice, and a SHOTBLOCKING REBOUNDING INTERIOR PLAYER, I think they can get revenge next year. In fact, I almost want LeBron to stay in craptown so we can kick his ass sometime down the road.
lets hope that under this scenario you want
we punk “The Puppet Show” en route to an extended playoff run. :)
